I've been wanting to go back to Disney for a while now and these forums really help. Alot has changed since 2011.

I got so flustered hearing the opening date that I finally had to create an account and "air my grievances".

I'm probably the only one here that's not happy I'm going to be there opening weekend.

Man there is some serious continuious camera bursts going on in the background. None of my cameras shoot that fast. 4 and 6 frames per second for both of them.

Looks like the issue I heard about Alien Swirling Saucers having could have played a role in it opening this late.

What was that issue? Basic delay? Or something bigger?

Anyone else notice that in all the SDD hype, marketing keeps focused on the section of the ride where Rex and Jessie are? I get the vibe they're ashamed that the rest isn't at this level.

It's the section guests will see first and most closely.

No more "Midway" in the title of TSMM.

On the web site, the ride is being called "Toy Story Mania!" but the game in which we participate is "Toy Story Midway Games Play Set."

It's interesting that the part of the structure with the opening lid is different between the art and what is being built.

It looks pretty much the same to me.

I know coaster speed is really hard to gauge in a video, but does anyone have any guesses on the speed of Slinky Dog? I'm thinking about 28-30mph?

Will it remain open and if so, what will be in there and will it connect to Grand Avenue?

It's going to be a lonely walkway w/o the Miday Mania entrance.

I too though am still stunned by the length of the exit pathway. The exit from the third track feels long enough as is right now! Surprised they couldn’t find a way to rework the inside of the building to go directly into the land (then again I don’t know the blueprints so yet might not be possible without a large closure).

Interestingly, the Toy Story Mania facade is the only thing about Toy Story Land that looks really, really nice.
