Rumor Tower of Terror to gain new theme?

Right now, TOT apparently has a 15 minute wait. I've noticed that the wait has become increasingly shorter over the years. Is this because TOT has a high capacity or an actual decrease in guests visiting the attraction?

Ride times are down at all the parks. FoP is under 2 hours!!

And it's nice weather, too. Can't blame rain.

So, people have been looking for the off-peak season. We found it!! It's TODAY!!!

Like other attractions it can vary greatly hour by hour, day by day. I’ve gone in at 13 minutes, ridden, come out and it’s at 60.

If you were able to check the wait time once an hour for a year you’d have a better idea. The wait time on the app is only as good as the last FLIK.

ToT is a thrill ride just like RnR. Both really demand action IP's with protagonists that have extraordinary powers and abilities. RnR has a tired old rock band and ToT has a tired old TV show. Both these attractions require a complete retheme and redesign. They could use Fox IP such as Planet of the Apes for ToT and sell bananas and movie DVD's in the gift shop. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would work great for RnR but to avoid conflicts it would be best to rename them the "Pubescent Deviant Stealthy Testudines".
While I like Aerosmith I can see a RNRC change. Tower, no way. If you take out the Twilight Zone theme the ride can still stand alone as a haunted hotel. Timeless as the Haunted Mansion or Prates.

My Hypothesis...

The only reason that TOT at DHS has not been redone is that is has a land to go with it. Sunset Blvd. would need to be completely redone or overlay. Disney does not have the money or thought of what this area becomes. No other TOT has this. They are just dropped into place. Scratch that, they have a small one at Tokyo Seas.

DHS is now creating immersive lands now. What has been a hodgepodge of a park for a very long time, they are now making whole lands based on IPs. Think of it from a park map view... Toy Story, Star Wars, Muppets (Probably will be expanded using existing buildings) Rumored Indiana Jones, Then possibly Monster Inc. land, with a 3rd Pixar IP land down the line. Making what is animation courtyard into Pixar Studios and the entrance to three Pixar Lands (There is room). Sunset can stay awhile and should. New cast member parking garage off site and no need for production buildings in the future could support this idea.

Lands just like MK.

I fully believe if they wanted to change Tower, they would do so and not care a rats *** what it did to the land around it theme wise. All they would see is the money they would be making off all the gift shop sells.

That's the scary part

Neither RnR or Tower need to be rethemed, reimagined or “made more relevant for today’s audiences”. Leave them alone.

directly opposed to the former not undergoing substantial change...
relatively weak execution of a highly questionable premise

What's wrong with the premise? It's fun and doesn't take itself seriously.

I'll agree that I wish there were a little more to the ride than a coaster in the dark with black lit billboards but it works for me. Maybe they can send over some of the nice lighting effects from the Paris version after they're done butchering that for the sake of Marvel.

aerosmith? in a disney park?? dedicated to movie magic???
in what reality does that make any sense when there has always been an abundance of better, more synergistic, in-house ip to be utilized for such purpose?

the flight of fears, which opened three years prior, were the same dang thing wrapped in a concept that actually made sense...
which always led me to view rnrc as a few years too late baby boomers ill-conceived bid for relevance mired in a cheap, eisner'y, superstar limo'y swath of borrowed and strained creativity

however, to each their own, of course

Because every park needs balance and Aerosmith would make this one rad!
