If the FOX purchase goes through, is it true that TOT will be the last non-Disney IP attraction in the park?
Tower of Terror and Rocking Rollercoaster

Fox never owned Avatar, it was just the distributor of the movie. If Fox had owned Avatar, then Disney would have been licensing the IP from Fox and not Cameron, which wasn't the case. So, if Disney's purchase of Fox goes through, it won't own Avatar.

So, the last (temporally) non-Disney-IP in WDW were the Pandora attractions and land (2017).

Before that, the non-Disney-IPs were:
  • Mission Space Earth Mission 2017
  • Soarin' Around the World 2016;
  • Expedition Everest in 2006;
  • Lights Motor Action 2005 (demo'd for SWL)
  • Soarin' 2005;
  • Mission Space 2003;
  • Reflections of China 2003;
  • JIIwF 2002;
  • Dinorama spinner and coaster 2002;

My Pandora MagicBand has (c) Fox on the longer side. So Fox has the copyright for Avatar.

Are you 100% sure about this? I know Lightstorm and Cameron created and produced it, but as far as who owns the actual legal rights to the franchise I think it actually is indeed 20th Century Fox. If you play the video games, look at the film score, the novel or any books, the bluray cases or look at any entertainment pertaining to Avatar, it always states that it is TM and copyrighted and the property of TCF, not Lightstorm or Cameron. And as far as I know, Disney still had to pay Fox a licensing fee to make Pandora and use any of the property in it's park.

According to Disney the deal was with both Fox and Lightstorm.

I'm sorry if I was unclear, I mean Disney-owned IPs. But do you not consider the Country Bear Jamboree or Haunted Mansion (or many others in that list) a Disney IP? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you.

Normally when we refer to IP in park attractions, we're referring to pre-existing IPs, such as an already existing movie, or a story in the public domain. But, yes, you're correct that when Disney creates characters for an attraction, like Country Bears, they are creating a new IP that they own.

Doesn't Tiki room actually count as removing an IP during the Iger years?

I got really worried when I saw this on my YouTube Home Page.
I wouldn't mind some tweaking, but please don't just shove some popular IP in there for the heck of it. The ToT should be the absolute last thing of concern for the Studios anyway. How about focus on filling the park with more things to do rather than dwell on making changes to the parks most popular attraction and one of the most beloved rides at Disney period? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

ToT is a thrill ride just like RnR. Both really demand action IP's with protagonists that have extraordinary powers and abilities. RnR has a tired old rock band and ToT has a tired old TV show. Both these attractions require a complete retheme and redesign. They could use Fox IP such as Planet of the Apes for ToT and sell bananas and movie DVD's in the gift shop. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would work great for RnR but to avoid conflicts it would be best to rename them the "Pubescent Deviant Stealthy Testudines".

The scary thing is I can’t tell if this is real or not.
