Rumor Tower of Terror to gain new theme?

Norway troll legends and Frozen troll legends. That's enough of a connection for me. Lol.

Hey, at least at the end of the ride we don't drift by an oil rig or cruise ship and empty into a European perfume factory anymore.
there was no cruise ship...and when all of the effects were actually working it was a raging storm in the north see with an oil rig...The ride exited into a travelogue movie about Norway, and yes after the movie there were shops, one of which was a perfume shop. While I agree the ride seemed hopelessly short to make it's point, it was at least original in it's content and attached to norwegian lore. I think the best scenario would have been to create a new attraction in the magic Kingdom based on Frozen where it belongs and really do the film some justice, and revamp the Norwegian Maelstrom into a ride that more effectively represents the country...

There was a NCL Norwegian cruise line ship at the end at one point. Some one back me up.

That's a stretch.... And there isn't anything in the attraction itself to connect it to Norway. At least the rat ride is set on the streets of Paris.

We're talking about a company that makes its money off of mutated talking animals that own non talking animals of the same species in some cases. Nothing is sacred and be stretched too far. Lol

While not directly about Norway it does tie into Norwegian stories as Frozen is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen which in turn is inspired by the Norwegian Fairy Tale East of the Sun, West of the Moon. The ride also features the trolls which is a common mythological creature in Norwegian Fairy Tales and the look of the attraction/film draws inspiration from traditional Norwegian architecture and clothing.

Is it a perfect fit? No. But it's roots are based in Norway's fairy tales and legends which personally works for me. Other people's opinion may differ.

that's textbook rationalization, my friend - in disney ip/peter quill visited epcot fashion...
not to get political, but that perspective also takes the pavilion away from norway and generalizes it as a merely nordic pavilion - even hans was danish.

that's not too far away from justifying mario in italy, is it?

Black Panther, along with the rest of the Avengers, can't appear in Orlando parks in any form.

Doctor Strange, OTOH...
They can just rename him "Tenebrous Puma" and rename the attraction "Tenebrous Tower of Terror". The alliteration alone is a good selling point. And if they want to use Captain America they can just rename him "Colonel Alabama" and give him a confederate battle flag for a shield.
