With all this talk comparing DL's and WDW's respective Toontowns, here are a couple of maps I have of Toontown from a proposed Disney theme park I have been designing on the Imagineer forum. The first map lists the rides and attractions, while the second lists shops and restaurants.

Here is a list with descriptions of the rides and attractions which can be found there:
1.) Chip 'n Dale's Treehouse
2.) Disneyland Railroad Station
3.) Donald's Boat: This boat sits on
real water, not a blue plastic pad like the other Disney parks have!
4.) Goofy's Barnstormer
5.) Goofy's Gas: much like its Disneyland counterpart; with restaurants, public telephones, and Goofy's Toon Up Treats candy stand inside!
6.) Jolly Trolley
7.) Ludwig Von Drake 's House of Genius: basically an interactive learning area themed to Ludwig Von Drake's laboratory.
8.) Mickey's House
9.) Mickey's Movie Barn: much like its Disneyland counterpart; with the Prop Department (where Mickey's props and costumes are stored), the Screening Room (where clips from Mickey's cartoons are screened), and Mickey's "meet & greet" area, complete with photo and autograph opportunities!
10.) Mickey's Toontown Fountain
11.) Minnie's House
12.) Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
13.) Roger's Fountain
14.) Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin: play area based on Scrooge McDuck's immense money bin. Also a treat just to visit and look at!
15.) Toontown City Hall: primarily a character greeting area, with three different rooms offering guests the opportunity to meet various Disney characters! Similar to WDW's Toontown Hall of Fame, but set inside a City Hall building instead of a huge tent.
16.) Toontown Courthouse, featuring Roger Rabbit's Courtroom: a 3-D interactive cartoon along the lines of the cartoon at Mickey's Philharmagic (animation-wise), where Roger is the judge and
YOU in the audience are the jury!
17.) Toontown Fire Department
18.) Toontown Post Office: similar to Disneyland's, where each character has their own mail slot, where you can hear them say something upon opening them!
19.) Toontown Theatre: presenting Mickey's Toontown Show, a lively musical comedy much like the former Mickey's Starland Show which ran at WDW during the late 1980's and early 1990's.
And here is my list of shops and restaurants (map enclosed below):

Food and Restaurants:
A.) Clarabelle's Frozen Yogurt
B.) Daisy's Snack Wagon
C.) Dinghy Drinks
D.) Goofy's Free-Z-Time: Set in a vacation trailer parked on Goofy's Wiseacre Farm by Goofy's Barnstormer, which sells large frozen slurpy drinks.
E.) Huey, Dewey, and Louie's Goodtime Café
F.) Mickey's Trailer
G.) Pluto's Dog House: serves hot dogs, chicken nuggets, french fries, cookies, and Pluto's Cripsie Treats (basically Rice Krispies treats shaped like dog bones).
H.) Toon Pop: a popcorn stand serving both regular and caramel-flavored popcorn.
I.) Toon Up Treats: Once again, this is a candy stand inside Goofy's Gas.
Shops:
1.) Gag Factory
2.) Toontown Delivery Company
3.) Toontown Five and Dime
4.) Toontown Fire Station: This shop sells a variety of 101 Dalmations toys and gifts, as well as Mickey Mouse firefighter souvenirs. Toontown Fire Station basically sells what is sold at WDW's Main Street fire station, which seems to have turned into a shop as opposed to a turn-of-the-century fire station. (The MS Fire Station in my proposed park still has the antique fire engine and other firefighter equipment which was taken out of WDW's fire station)
I find it odd that WDW's Toontown would have so little to it, especially since WDW is the largest and most visited of all the Disney theme parks! IMHO, Disneyland's Toontown was built so much better just to get more people to come to Disneyland! Tokyo Disneyland also has a very elaborate Toontown , in fact bigger and a little better than Disneyland's!
The Toontown in my proposed park is basically a combination of the best features from each park's Toontown, as well as the standpoint that my park is built in the somewhere in the U.S. (due to familiarity with the culture and the fact that it would be nice to have another Disney theme park somewhere close by!)
As far a location is concerned, logically, I'm learning towards someplace in the Central U.S. (particularly with a warm climate, such as Texas) or possibly even Hawaii, which would be a fun place to have this park, IMHO!
If anyone has questions, comments, and/or suggestions, please fell free to post!
