Too crowded!!

True but if gate drops then there would be no real justification to ever building a 5th park imo.

I'll be interesting to see as UNI expands what all disney does too

Ego plays a BIG role in corporate decisions - as long as WDW parks are #1 in attendance there is no need to do anything - if UNI manages to exceed on a sustained basis gate entries for any WDW park - expect the construction floodgates to open.

Magic Kingdom was geared towards the child inside of us. Not JUST for kids. FYI. Walt never wanted to aim for just children. It was a *family* experience.

Which is PRECISELY what TWDC has forgotten and why WDW is 'All Toddlers all the time', WDW is losing mindshare of the over 10 crowd - bad bad idea.

Disney has successfully managed to spread crowds throughout the year, instead of having periods of extremely high attendence (like school holidays) and several weeks of slow periods. The masses have now learned when the previous "off season" took place, and now Disney offers incentives to visit at those times (discounts, food and wine, Halloween etc), causing those weeks to be busier. As a result, we're seeing fewer phased closings during holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter, and random weekdays during the school year feeling like summer.

The lesson here is to plan for crowds and not just assume when the off season is anymore.

It's hardly trolling to suggest the Magic Kingdom is crowded, more crowded than in the past.

During its earnings calls, Disney has reported record crowds at the Magic Kingdom for the last few years.

What I was referring to was that the OP joined the forum to post one time, and it's just a series of complaints about the cold temperatures (which nobody can control, but one could certainly expect in December) and crowds. No follow up, or additional posts. Nothing constructive in the least.

Thats just what they WANT you to believe. ANSWER ME THIS: How is it possible that they have ponchos out to purchase the second it starts raining then? hmm!? HMM!?

Just what I thought. #theDome
They are extremely good with poncho said sales...but, my wife has been using the same Wal-Mart poncho for two years...one with princesses on it, pink with roses...I've offered to buy her a real rain jacket, but she won't let me

From 7-11 last night at the kingdom the line for express was an hour and a half , people were freaking out. We ended up walking to the contemporary and got on there, we also thought this was the slow time of year. Turns out that doesn't exists anymore!

I know this sounds crazy, but what they need is a second Magic Kingdom.
After being there yesterday the place was unbearable, we have decided its just not doable at all anymore, and left to get out of there by 2. Fast pass has inflated every attractions lines, the triple wide strollers are out of control in shops the size of index cards that cant even handle them, and I wont even start about the Brazilian tour groups who chanted down main street taking it over. You don't feel like your at Disney anymore, you feel like your in a stampede or a zoo and thats exactly what it has become. And are they not putting up the big Christmas tree anymore? I know its after parade filming but I thought by now that was done? I know the hub project is still underway but it is downright ugly between Main Street and Tomorrowland, I see no signs of trees coming back to cover those hideous side buildings. They have completely ruined the concept of show/theme.
