Tony Baxter hints at the future!

The biggest shame is that we could all be driving vehicles with the zero-emission engines described above right now...instead we're being held hostage by oil companies with deep pockets. $$$ talks.

Talking points.

There is no such thing as a "zero emission" engine unless someone invented a perpetual motion device and didn't send me the memo.

What a surprise:rolleyes:

If a vehicle runs on battery, there is...at least directly. Of course there are the indirect emissions that come from power plants.

You cannot deny JT, that there are better alternatives than just strictly using fossil fuels to power our vehicles. Even your talk radio heros are pimping hybrid-suvs.

I love that people are buying hybrids. Helps keep my gas prices down for my RV. The more demand decreases for gasoline because of hybrids/electrics the more money I save. Of course I can't afford a hybrid and an RV so I'm choosing the RV. I'll just drive an old gas car. Which model hybrid do you own?

Mike is right, but cue the political argument...:hammer:

Please EE, just because you can't stomach different points of view does not give you the right to p*** on people's conversations. Nobody wants a sanatized forum that only caters to your hyper-sensitivities. Steve welcomes different points of view and I intend to keep posting mine. Your PC police state on this forum is obnoxious.

I'm sorry Disney threw in the towel on SSE, but I had nothing to do with that.

Automobiles have no politics. Well except GM ones.......now.

I can stomach it just fine, in fact I really do enjoy political debate and talk. Just not where it's not allowed. I hate seeing these DISNEY forums go perfectly insane over some stupid political remark. I did it once too, and learned my lesson. If you want to learn the hard way, be my guest. Steve welcomes viewpoints on DISNEY, not what's going on in Washington DC.

Politics are bound to be here...

The instigating you do is really what's wrong here...

I'm done.

At least tell us what hybrid you drive. If I can find a good deal I will buy one so I always like to hear first hand reviews.
I put great thought into buying a Prius, but it just wasn't practical for me. I need a vehicle that can move things and tow a boat or atv. Unfortunately, the technology that I would like to have is not offered for pick-up trucks...in my price range.

I have a Chevrolet Colorado, and it does get better mileage than my last truck. I just wish the auto industry as a whole would have had the forsight and will power and courage to go with newer, fuel-efficient technology and not suvs. Imagine what 10 years of use and perfecting would have done for the technology mentioned earlier. The world would be a much better place.

I'll give you my opinion. The battery technology just isn't quite ready yet but nano engineering holds great promise. MIT is doing some great work towards this. I want a practical electric vehicle as much as anyone. The tech is not quite there yet however.

I guess I just nuked some myths about me.

Dr. Prius?:lookaroun

huh? Are you going to enigmatically accuse me of being old members every single time I mention something? (You did the same thing when I was talking about how much I liked Thrawn in the SW novels).

Those old ghosts have been busted. Give it a rest already. I swear being here is as surreal as being in a Lewis Caroll novel with people acting like I got skellingtons in my closet (when i've really been as innocent as an angel).

Arch Angel.

Lewis Carroll.

I'm sure you allude to these things for no reason, right?
