She wasn't talking about a date cause it was all very blue sky at the time. Put it this way, when jh made the announcement I remember thinking "yeah, I already knew that". Thanks to DG and other rumblings on WDWMagic.com

You stick to the subliminal, jt, I'll stick to the plain English.

A parking lot for the time being. Of course even that will be more scenic than that theater.:hurl:

It's gone and it wont be missed.

Could they not put Mickeys Twas A Night in the theatre for Stich and have the Twas The Night in that theatre on the party nights?
I doubt it...the Stitch stage is going to be far different...the show would need MAJOR Changes. From the concept art...the Stitch stage is gonna be pretty small, with a big projection area.

When it first opened there was a show done several times daily. EDIT: It was called Galaxy Search.

Here's a video.

Sorry bud. Actually incorrect. Galaxy Search came later. There were other shows that played there first. I'm 99% sure that "Disney World is Your World" was actually the first show to be performed at the THEN called "Tomorrowland Stage". Was renamed to "Galaxy Palace Theatre" during the Galaxy Search era. One of the Disney Mania shows also performed on this stage.

And correct though...the Stitch stage will not have the backstage space or wing area for a full on production, such as Twas. It's more of a stage instead of a theater. Although Disney hasn't officially said it, there's no place for them to remount Twas. It won't be returning. But I bet your ticket prices for MVMCP go up.

You actually will never hear a peep from Disney about Twas again I'm guessing. They'll hope it goes quietly without too many complaints.

lightboy, your memory is good :D

From what I found, the stage was built for the Tencennial, and an extended DWIYW with anniversary finale was the first show performed. Galaxy Search was 1994-ish.

Just don`t mention Rap n Roll....

AH....duh! for some reason I could only think of Galaxy Search. (possibly cause that's the first show I ever saw there).

It seems with all of these changes coming to Tomorrowland WDI would have something in mind for the empty Skyway... or do they?

I actually heard the space will be to hold construction items for Space Mountain's Epic Refurb. Makes sense to me since it's being dismantled right now. The timeline fits...

What about the Stage in Frontierland? The Diamond Horseshoe? I've never been in there to know if it's big enough or not.

I hope you are right and once SM is done maybe then they will finally remove the skyway building. I bet though the construction walls will encompass the skyway building once the SM refurb starts. So then I would think the relocated wall will be directly behind the new Stitch Stage.

Here's what I have on the Tomorrowland Stage, some minor name tweaks an a probably incomplete show listing:

Tomorrowland Stage 1981 - 86
Tomorrowland Theatre 1987 - 94
Tomorrowland Stage at RocketTower Plaza 1994 - 96
Galaxy Palace Theatre 1996 -
10/81 - 1984 DisneyWorld Is Your World (Kids of the Kingdom)
7/ 84 - 9/ 85 Show Bis Is (Kids of the Kingdom)
1985 - ? DisneyWorld Is Your World (Kids of the Kingdom)
1983 - Mickeys ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (Kids of the Kingdom)
1986 - 1991? Disney Mania (Kids of the Kingdom)
1996 - 99 Galaxy Search

Just don`t mention Rap n Roll...

How about Totally Minnie?
