Really though the Speedway at MK needs a refurb badly, it looks, smells and feels dated. not to metion really dirty looking. A refrub would do it some wonders and not a little refurb one on the scale the DL's got back in 2000- a new queue building, cars, track, and above all landscaping that dosnt look like an old park from the 70's nor a freeway. It should also lose the Speedway name and just be named Autopia. IMO the raceway themeing adds to its cheap-ness in look.

Nice landscaping over at HKDL. Its almost TOO much! No way maint. over here at MK would be able to keep that looking nice. No disrespect, but I have yet to see anything to lead me to think it would be well cared for.

And I agree with everything you posted about a refurbed Speedway. The current version really is an eye/ear/nose sore in every way. :fork:

Thats embarrassing, whats to stop someone from creating a new account.

It's probably best to PM Steve or another Mod with those kinds of questions. I'm not privileged to such information, nor do I care to be. I just enjoy the site and thank Steve for all the work he does.

I'd love to see something more like Autopia....better for the enviroment cleaner looking....you have to remember though the cars were an original walt idea over in california....I think their worth keeping for the spirit of the parks....mabye just a rehab to electric...

Applying to EE's question, Somebody on the boards posted an overhead look of the plot and filled it in to show what could fit. Pretty ingenious and the space is considerably large.

Very nice.

So...ETic one half....Dark rides the other. MK Win.

Thats what I thought might be done as an alternative. Perhaps a Cars overlay(?) on the northern half to tie it into Toontown or Fantasyland, and then a new dark ride or something on the remaining half for Tomorrowland? Perhaps even have the TTA going through the front part of the queue or something?

Ugh. No Cars...Please? We have PP for that.

None of the Pixar movies fit in the parks because they all take place in modern day. The parks are all about exotic places, either distant lands or distant times. It's a shame that every new Pixar attraction compromises the location it occupies.

There's some hate for the Cars movie on here "Kachow". I thought it was a pretty good effort. I didn't realize that Disney Hong Kong had electric cars. Anybody know if they have issues with them?
