you summed up exactly what I have been thinking,,,,,its really all a mish mash mess with no direction and thats very bothersome. It was a good sign of things to come when they had started originally, but I dont know what happened. I just call it ghettoland anymore. its really a shame.
It is crazy. It started out like things were being carefully and somewhat strategicly crafted with the overall direction of a new Tomorrowland.

It really seems that random and stupid.

WDW really abandons, neglects and uses its history. It's such a shame. Ugh.

I admittedly can’t get a read on what they’re doing here. It doesn’t feel like a focused aesthetic for me. If they had decided to make the whole land look TRONy, it wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I’d get it. It would look awesome at night at least. The retro paint over 1990s fixtures looks like when they paint over an old Burger King and make it a Starbucks. And a lot more than paint would be necessary to complete a full retro look. I’m not convinced that will happen.

Photo update as of Saturday, July 6, 2019. Not sure this has been shown. New paint scheme at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. White walls and yellow/orange ceiling. Walls and pillars used to be gray. New color on the pavement. The restaurant is not open right now.

So, what, did they blow all of their Tomorrowland overhaul budget on the Carousel of Progress sign and removing the dome? This was all looking so promising and now it seems to have taken one hell of a left turn.
I thought they were going to remove the dated metal and fins for sure.

They should probably just paint over this stuff with Go Away Green if they can't make a budget. It would look more cohesive.

the entire thing is a mismatch of ideas. There is no cohesion anywhere to be found. Brights, pastels, solids, paterns, metallics, etc. I would love to be a fly on the wall for the meetings about this.

its almost as if they didn't have any meetings, but said here is paint go use it wherever whatever, definitely a lack of direction sadly. Had really good hopes for this, its a mess in my opinion.
