The major strike against any RMC at Disney are the restraints.

That's assuming of course Disney was buying a standard coaster from them. If they are doing a custom layout with family friendly elements there's no reason they couldn't work with RMC to develop a custom restraint that is safe and allows for smaller riders.

I personally would love to see Disney partner with RMC on a project and instantly thought having the Raptor track used to re-track SM could be a great fit. I just don't see it happening. IF it did ever happen I'd want RMC to create a new layout and not just copy SM current track profile. Nothing crazy and still family friendly, but with maybe steeper drops and more banking on the turns.

Hopefully one day I can say the same
I'll be handing the wedding coordinator a voice recorder so I will get to hear the groans of everyone who will have to make it. The suffering adds flavor.

Anyways, has there been anymore work on the TL face-lift since the rock paint job? I was told by a reliable source a year or so back that there was a LOT more where that came from, and yet it still looks grimy.

Well you know the future is not a pretty place....

I love the exterior of IASW (all but WDW). I can't see it fitting in with either the buildings in Future World or those of World Showcase. They'd have to come up with something new. Not that this will ever happen though.

For those discussing COP in this thread, the Carousel of Progress Love Twitter account tweeted this last night:

I bring great news everyone!
Carousel Of Progress is going to be the next Universe Of Energy! Oh, wait…
But as you think about that, think about these fun facts:
•Don't expect the Act 3 Rear system to work
•Don't expect the oven to have smoke
•Don't expect new paint

And then more for the general Tomorrowland fans:
Carousel Of Progress also doesn't really have a budget anymore because they're "Preparing and planning for the future of tomorrowland"

Take it for what it's worth.

First off, @CarouselOf hasn't had the best info. Second off, can anyone translate this into English?

I bring great news everyone!
Carousel Of Progress is going to be the next Universe Of Energy! Oh, wait… - Going to let stuff break until it's needed to be fixed for show operation
But as you think about that, think about these fun facts:
•Don't expect the Act 3 Rear system to work - No idea
•Don't expect the oven to have smoke - Broken effect
•Don't expect new paint - Saving $$

Carousel Of Progress also doesn't really have a budget anymore because they're "Preparing and planning for the future of tomorrowland" - Projects are shifting around so CoP now has a lower priority. Tomorrowland theming update is moving ahead and took the budget for fixing CoP.

Bold is what I'm guessing it meant. This is not confirming anything, just a good stab at what CarouselOf means. But like others said, their track record isn't too good.

That was literally a test layout at their manufacturing plant. It's just supposed to show the proof of concept.
Here's the first single bar layout we'll see from them next year:

Exactly.

Going off what they've done in 7 years with their coaster overhauls, they have a lot of promise.
2011:

2018:

Their layouts are getting longer and wilder as time goes on.
Their original from the ground up designs are great too:

Ok, that looks a little more thrilling. I still say sometimes too smooth, is well, too smooth for a coaster. Of course I was quite happy when they announced the dismantling of Mean Streak at CF and thrilled to see the new concept replacing it. Unless I could get the very front seat I stopped riding Mean Streak 6 years ago when the back seat almost shook me into a heart attack, and I ride everything.

Unless I was in the mood to be punished, I avoided it. Not gonna lie, it was always fun riding it and hearing screams of pain/obscenities over every little jerk. But the RMC'ing of MS has been a long time coming and it seems like it'll be worth the wait.

I was at CP last weekend and spent a few minutes just gawking at Steel Vengeance. It looks like a monster. BUT, to bring it back to the thread, I can see how a new track (perhaps like Raptor Track) could "enhance" a layout similar to what SM currently has, even with little touches like off-axis banking like you see on a couple turns of SV. Could really add some minor thrills to SM, while keeping it still in the range of family fun coastering. I gather that TRON is now to be the headliner "thrill ride" of Tomorrowland.
