Returning to topic, Staggs interests me very much as a parks fan. It seems like the projects that happened under his leadership were of far higher quality and consequence than Chapek. Buena Vista Street and Cars Land are worthy additions to DCA. Contrasting this with Pixar Pier and Avengers Campus, I think the differences are clear.

Agreed. And of course he’s the one that brought an actual good attraction to new fantasyland. Without him the entire expansion was just meet and greets and the mermaid ride.

I like New Fantasyland thematically, but I'm going to disagree with 7DMT. I think it's terrible, both from the perspective of being a good coaster and thematically, as it's nothing but just pretty rock work.

I wish they hadn’t cut the budget (and the ride length) - it should be a real e-ticket but it’s 10x better than a Cinderella and sleeping beauty meet and greet in the same space.
I’ve always enjoyed riding it - if I’m being honest I probably like it just as much as the Florida big thunder.

Uh, BVS and Cars Land were actually greenlit by Jay Rasulo of all people.
Still the Board gave him a NO confidence vote in being a future CEO of Disney when he was with the company.

I don't know if you are joking or not? but I forgot about curling. You are right. Curling is a big thing up here to, especially in our small town. We have provided several players to the Olympic teams. I never heard of it until we moved here, but I now enjoy watching it.

It can be a good thing if your organization is struggling and has a lot of bloat/excessive redundancy. BPO are numbers and efficiency people. They will cut the organization to the bone if allowed to in order to maximize efficiency. Cutting to far leaves an efficient but fragile organization.

He not here as a CEO candidate, he's here as a divestment advisor.
Iger has something always up his sleeve bringing ex Disney execs Mayer and Staggs as " advisors " who were both passed over for CEO by the Board when at Disney.

I agree, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence it was done so shortly before the next earnings announcement.
Bringing them back isn't the strangest thing to ever happen at Disney, and when it comes to the company, absolutely anything is possible. You might very well see them back in the running for that. After all, I seriously doubt that the only reason Iger brought them back was ESPN. I think they're gonna give input on everything in the company, and then basically might become part of the succession debate yet again. Heck, at this point, we might very well see Eisner as a consultant at some point.

Iger’s solution is always to buy out the right companies and use their resources and talent. From day 1 he bought Pixar and used Lassister to help in the parks.
He also is getting old… he can’t be ceo forever.

What you mean? They're OBVIOUSLY cloned him and made multiple copies that SOMEHOW look like Staggs and Mayer. Once Disney (therefore Iger) finally takes over the world, they are going to make you swallow those words.
