chances are Tom Staggs will end up becoming CEO and he’s basically as bad as Iger. Unfortunately Disney’s scrappy creative days are long over and it’s now just another monolithic American company that chases trends, pays exuberant fees to outside consultants for “ideas“, and continues focusing on how to reduce costs without loosing attendance all in a bid to boost the stock price a little bit and just get past the next quarter.

Partially because of EuroDisney - they spent lots of money on that park and didn’t see it open to huge success - that made him nervous about other projects. Which is sad, we could have gotten some crazy cool things built!

I've said it before: Almost everyone who left Disney gets lionized as a genius and possible savior of the company, while everyone who remains in Disney is demonized as incompetent fools hellbent on destroying the company.
