to photopass plus or not...

That's my latest decision. Last year we had photopass because one of the families we went with bought it and we all used it. I have never printed even a single picture from the disc..BUT I haben't printed any pictures from the trip..lol. My mother owes me $$ still for the trip ( I already paid it off) so I am debating using it to pre-order photopass plus.

We have meals at a few of the places the print package is included.. decisions decisions.. input?

Yes! Yes! Yes! I just ordered it and got it in the mail! I think it is so worth it! Especially if you usually get the photo pass or buy any of the prints from the rides. I print the pics only to put in frames and scrap book. But we have a digital frame so they scroll through all the pics! Its so fun to have them all and all the memories!

yes... photopass alone is not worth it because to be frank, the photographers aren't the greatest. In my conversations with CM's they are essentially only trained on how to operate the scans and not really any training on composition or shooting manually.

the ride photos alone make the plus worth it... 20 bucks each for an 8x10 print, 15 for a digi download!

I'll second the above comment re: the ride pictures. The "discount" you essentially get as a result of using the Photopass+ to get them is great. Now that said, if you never care to get your ride photos, then maybe not.

I'd love the ride photos.. only have one from last year at TT.. Ok I think I can do this. I'm the type that won't spend the money on it myself..but I can rationalize it that it's my mother's money ( even though she "owes " it to me..)..I told her I wasnt worried about the few hundred she owes us cus havig her on the trip is worth the extra money..but she wants to pay it back.this seems like a good way for me to get the Photopass + without feeling like I am risking wasting money...lol

$170 preorder or $200 after the fact is expensive, but it can be worth it. I think it is a great chance to get group shots of the family on the rides. I would only use it for my longer trips or my non-solo trips.

I've been contemplating this for a while..main reason? Apparently I'm the only one in my family that knows how to operate a camera.....;)

I want pictures to prove I was actually in WDW. :D
I am SO right there with you!! The pic in my avatar was taken by a lovely CM who saw the camera hanging around my neck and asked if we'd like him to take our picture for us. It is one of VERY few shots I have of myself on property over the age of 16. LOL!

We need time for things to happen.
Ok I've been thinking about this a little bit further and I'm starting to discuss with my wife. So now I'm starting to have real
questions.Do you actual get the print packages that they offer from the dining locations at the time?

Also do you get the attraction photos or just a digital copy of them that you have to print off when you get home?
Let me know if I'm being extremely vague!

I think I'm definately going to have to get this... I THINK you get the full print packages from the restaurants. But, if someone else could confirm, that would help.

We're definitely thinking about going with this. I was told the Photopass+ includes the pictures from the restaurants. I need to verify.

If you read the small print above it lists Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, ToT, RNRC, EE, Dinosaur for rides and 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana, Spirit of Aloha Show, Chef Mickey's, CRT, Tusker House, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, and Akershus.

I would have to agree with everyone else that says it is totally worth it. When pricing it out, I went back and forth for a long time too, because lets face it $170.00 is a lot of money to spend on just one thing, but when you look at all the benefits, and I realized we would be at most of these dining locations, I felt it was totally worth it, and bought it for our first trip. Plus this allows me to have some pics of the DW since she always tends to be behind the camera.
