to photopass plus or not...

That's my latest decision. Last year we had photopass because one of the families we went with bought it and we all used it. I have never printed even a single picture from the disc..BUT I haben't printed any pictures from the trip..lol. My mother owes me $$ still for the trip ( I already paid it off) so I am debating using it to pre-order photopass plus.

We have meals at a few of the places the print package is included.. decisions decisions.. input?

Ok I've been thinking about this a little bit further and I'm starting to discuss with my wife. So now I'm starting to have real
questions.Do you actual get the print packages that they offer from the dining locations at the time?

Also do you get the attraction photos or just a digital copy of them that you have to print off when you get home?
Let me know if I'm being extremely vague!

Planning a trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort? Disney PhotoPass+ allows you to capture more memories than ever! You can now have all your Disney’s PhotoPass® photos PLUS select attraction and dining photos – all for one price.

You get the physical prints only in situations where they have already printed it. So at the meals, they print the pictures off, and carry them around to all the tables to try to sell them to you. Since it is already printed, they should just hand you the picture when you should then the Photopass+. On the rides, because they don't print them until you order them you would just get the digital version added to your Photopass+ card.

We need time for things to happen.

Ok got it. So all the ride shots will just end up on the disc as long as I go up to the booth and "claim" them?

Yup. Pretty much you would need to take note of the picture number, walk up to the register where you would otherwise order the picture, show them the Photopass+ card and tell them the number. They should add the picture to your card.

this is a bigger bonus to me than the restaurant pics.. I never bought a single ride picture last year and I would so love to see them!

Does the PhotoCD contain all the photos of you? It says create and order... can you just order them all?

I've been contemplating this for a while..main reason? Apparently I'm the only one in my family that knows how to operate a camera.....;)

I want pictures to prove I was actually in WDW. :D

My DH too! It would be so great to get all 4 of us in one shot! We only have 1 pic in the last 2 trips that someone took of all of us. I am planning on getting it this time so there is actual proof that my husband and I like each other :)

The PhotoCD will contain any photo that is in your Photopass Account at that time. So any originals that were on the Photopass+ card, any originals that were on normal Photopass cards, and bonus pics they gave you (typically just some stock photos that show up when you had pictures taken at a certain time/place), along with any edits that you have done of the prior listed photos. If a photo has expired, it won't be on the CD. If you make an edit after you order the CD, that edit won't be on the CD. My last order ended up shipping me 12 cds after all was said and done. You don't pick and choose, it is any photo or edit that is on your account.

Thanks! I am trying to decide if this is worth it for us. Married but with no children, but first time at WDW in almost two decades.

My DW and I have done it on maybe 80% of our trips. We had a short 3 day trip where we didn't by the PhotoCD. The others have all yielded at least 750 pictures and edits, up to about 4750 pictures and edits. Probably 40+ cds from all the trips, just the two of us. Now of those, I think we have printed maybe 80 pictures for scrap booking/framing. But I also have a digital picture frame on my desk that cycles through 400-500 pictures. That is the real value for me.

If you want multiple shots, and something with character of both of you, you will most likely end up benefiting from getting at least the PhotoCD. Yes, the Photopass CMs will take a picture with your camera, but more often than not its 3-5 of theirs, then one of yours. So most of the fun and creative shots tend to come from their camera. The same also applies for character photos. They start snapping away as soon as you walk up, and tend to get pictures with more personality and character in them, whereas the handlers (using your camera if you ask) will often just get the "Everybody smile!" pose. But if you don't do characters, then that's not as big a plus. I suggest looking at what you would end up using the pictures for, as well as how many you would want and go from there.

Wise choice! I don't know how I didn't know about this past week when we were already under the 14 days. Uggh! Oh well, next year I guess.

Got it yesterday! and ugh..well it still may be worth buying it for full price onsite if you have enough dinners that the photos will be included..

Thanks! I'll take a gander. I like to make books up on shutterfly after big trips so it may come in handy for adding bulk to that!
