Tired of these people

Ah, yes. Because everyone with an ID has a caretaker who can watch over them for their entire life…

What a reductive sentiment apparently shared by many. Personally, I get more upset at neurotypical people taking flash pictures on Pirates but that’s just me.
If you're high functioning enough to be able to go someplace like WDW without a responsible companion, you are high functioning enough to understand rules like "Please remain seated."

When someone trips, falls onto the tracks and dies, it may stop...
That’s the thing. I think people don’t realize attractions are giant working machines, and if you get in the way of it, it’s not going to stop. Attractions are designed to be safe when guests are following the instructions. If this person tripped and fell between ride vehicles or got caught in one of the wheels or gears somehow, he’d most likely be killed.

IMO, it is happening more now because people are posting their behavior - both good and bad - on social media. Anything to increase the number of views.
Ya know, I would not be a bit surprised if at least some small percentage of scenes are caused solely for social media monetization.

Think about it, if starting a small fight payed out $30,000 (in click bait payout), then maybe it is worth it?

I dunno, but I do know that a lot of social media spectacle is completely fictitious. Actors. I think 50% of all "Karen" videos are now totally fake. :p

Yup, you know yourself when you were in school…it wasn’t so much what you did, but rather IF you could get away with it…

And with that I guess "safety bars" will become a key addition to the next SSE overhaul.
Or the lap belts that dont unlatch until the ride through is over and they then get unfastened. Or go with a totally enclosed cabin with locking door and no access to deploy til the end. Or we could have guests load wearing shock collars that zap when a guest disobeys the rules and steps out of the ride vehicle.

And so perhaps it would be prudent to not assume this person has an intellectual disability. All @ToTBellHop said was that they were withholding judgment about the person as the person *could* have an intellectual or cognitive disability. That isn't an assumption that they do have one. Just a suggestion of withholding judgment as we don't know the situation.

But I know, the internet's no fun these days without judging people ;) /s (last sentence a generic statement, not directed at you StarWarsGirl)

While true, other parks are doing things about it. I can't count the number of times I have seen posts online of people being escorted out of parks by security for having phones out on rides. Yet Disney does nothing about it. So afraid of the bad PR.

I will add things like this keep showing that a lot of GP are stupid when it comes to parks.

I'm somewhat surprised that the ride didn't stop when the cockwomble jumped into the show scene. As mentioned, Hoot and Chief stayed out of sight, and figured out that Horizons was the one ride (at the time) where there weren't pressure sensors (I believe?) that would stop the ride if they were triggered. I would have thought that meant SSE had those sensors, but I'll defer to others on that.

I would still judge them if they had a disability. Rules still apply to you even if something is off with you.
