We went forth into the kingdom of magic this morning in search of a tiny green pixie thingy. We found her, and all of her little pixie friends..

As expected the premiere was held at the Expo Hall in Town Square.. The check in was quick, and painless.. They we proceeded into the makeshift 'lobby' where we were allowed to select a snack per passholder.. Snacks consisted of traditional movie candies (Milk duds, Mike and Ikes, the BIG boxes!).. Water was available as a beverage.. I think that was the only beverage option to prevent the carpet from getting sticky and stained in the expo hall theater.. And rightfully so, kids were spilling water everywhere..

Anyhow, after a warm greeting and a '15 minute warning, run to the bathroom!' The movie began..

First , the movie.. It was EXCELLENT.. Dovetails with Peter Pan VERY well, and all around an excellent movie.. The animation is first class, and the characters have a lot of life in them.. My biggest complaint is that this film wasn't put into theaters.. it is worthy of a theatrical release.

After the film, a special treat was about 5-10 minutes of on-stage commentary by the Films Producer, Director, and the Screen Writer.. All very humble and appreciative of the applause they received.

Also on stage was the Disney Parks Rep who described the newly revamped tinkerbell store in the works, pixie hollow in toon town, and the new fairies exhibit and display at Flower and Garden 09 in Epcot.. AS well as new products and costumes tailored to the Fairies line..

At this point, they brought out the fairy face characters one by one , and let me say, they looked GREAT!

We were then told that CMO Justin would be coming on stage to play Tinkerbell Movie trivia with us, while each row of the audience filed out one-by-one in order to have a few minutes with all of the fairies at once! And whats more? They provided a photopass photog to capture a once in a lifetime picture with you and ALL of the fairies! The photopass has a special frame/border, and contains the dates.. I'll scan ours later to show you.. No discount for the photo was given..

Meanwhile, we were also given a chance after the photo to file through the line and have a few minutes to personally speak with the Director/Producer/and Screen writer. All very nice, and engaging.. especially with our kids.. They signed and personalized copies of their photos, and presented them to each of our kids..

The last thing to report about the experience was that each person in attendance was given a plastic (reuseable) cup, with tinkerbell movie logos.. as well as a 'light up' tinkerbell lapel pin..

I think thats about it.. IT was very well organized, and we're looking forward to future events like this in MK....

Here's a few pictures from today.. Sorry about the quality.. Used my cell phone camera this time... You weren't supposed to bring a camera.. although that seemingly stopped no one but me..

Thanks for the update on the movie. Sounds like a lot of fun at the premiere! I am glad to hear that it was excellent. I think I will have to pick it up for my niece. She is a Tinkerbell fan (and all Disney characters) thanks to my influence. :ROFLOL:

The premiere was great! :D All around a great experience... it was much more than I was expecting... thought we were just getting to see the movie a month early which was awesome by itself... but Disney really went the extra mile for this event.

I agree that the movie was fab... and I look forward to the next three... hopefully they are as good :D

I didn't think I would be able to bring my camera in but I asked when we signed in and I was told that I could bring it in... I just couldn't take pictures of the actual movie... which I understand completely... so I was able to get pics of the event... you can find mine here:

Having two daughters at 6 and 3, looking forward to the movie.

I do have some reservations about the meet and greet. My older daughter has already asked if Tink will be large or small. Of course I give her the "I think they will use pixie dust to shrink us so we can be the same size".

Looking at the photos, the fairies just don't look anything close to real i.e. the wings look like ones my kids have at home. They just look too much like young ladies wearing costumes as compared to the princessess who look very regal in their costumes.

It will be interesting the first time we visit at DL seeing the reactions of my girls. Here is hoping its positive as Tink is a favorite of both kids.
