Strange, but the first thought that came to my mind when reading this, and I know it is totally and completely a different circumstance, but the poem by Martin Niemöller just jumped at me:

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

Please tell me you're not serious. It's a theme park for heaven's sake. It lost my business a long time ago and guess what - I'm OK. To equate the deterioration of a theme park to the ultimate annihilation of millions is just unfathomable to me.

The poster said it was a totally and different circumstance. Yes, it's an extreme example, too extreme for a theme park in my opinion, but the message is the same. If you don't like something at least speak up, write, vote or whatever will make your voice heard.

Disney has been chipping away at the value of the daily admission price for at least a decade; after hours hard ticket events, early morning hard ticket events, Very Scary Halloween, Very Merry Christmas which gives you less hours in the MK if you choose not to pay "again" on the same day. Taking away what used to be free fireworks viewing areas; three different Wishes dessert parties (Plaza, Terrace and Ferry), Illuminations, Star Wars and the now defunct Osborne Lights. Removing some favorite entrees at various restaurants and replacing those items with less costly items and still raising prices and now outrageously priced cabanas detracting from the theme of Tomorrowland. Disney will keep doing what they're doing simply because they can, but the least we can do is let them know it's not ok with the repeat customer. The first and possibly only time visitors have no idea what WDW used to be like.

I've voted with our dollars by not returning as often and not spending as much on merchandise as I have in the past. I have also sent letters to Guest Services with my objection to them catering to the 1% who can afford these extras. Complaining on an internet forum though, will not get your message to Disney management.

I too have stopped spending money there, and I've written so many letters that I swear I'm on a first name basis with the young lady who does the follow-up calls, but it still does not come anywhere near the tragedy wluded to in that poster's quote. Like I said, it's a theme park. It's run by a money-hungry corporation who are totally out of touch with its fan base. But there are plenty of other places and things to enjoy in this life.

I never said it equated to the tragedy alluded to by the quote (that's your input). But the concept still is the same, even if the magnitude is not. One needs to speak up initially, not wait until it finally gets around to impacting you. Cause by then, it probably will be too late.

MK After Hours is coming back according to the Travel Agent website. Not only that, it's coming back "by popular demand".

Personally, copping a squat on a curb and eating an ice cream cone while watching the parade sounds like more fun, plus a lot cheaper!
