Since imagineers chose a factory and the money guys said “make beignets the star of the show cause we are going to sell them”Right, since when are they transported that way?
I'm simply addressing and correcting the claim that the co-op aspect of the story would dominate the entirety of the ride. The majority of the ride from what I understand is not going to actually be a preachy "yass queen, grow those crops with your democratized labor union" being screamed into your ear from every angle. It's going to largely be about musical critter bands. If it’s part of the queue and exterior its not just backstory though.

The problem is that the marketing team behind this ride are morons. And if you think I like this backstory, you couldn't be more wrong. It's horrible. But there is a reason i'm not ready to throw the entire ride in the garbage just yet. Not until I see what they did to the interior. If they screw that part up, then it's all over.
Also, that wood fence mural is ugly.
I wonder how well the beignet smell will mix with the bromine smell. You guys don’t get it. Pairing Beignets on a Tiana ride with Disneys filler theming (crates) is a no brainer.

Oh, I get it. Just sometimes don't agree with it and wish they'd try a little harder. You guys don’t get it. Pairing Beignets on a Tiana ride with Disneys filler theming (crates) is a no brainer.
Crates and barrels seem to be Disney's solution for filling void areas. Quick and dirty set dressing. Sometimes it's a bit overdone but it is a simple way to say "theme". They do make for good filler. I don't know if that's the case here though, just an observation.
Swamp water was the missing ingredient.Surely there's not a plot point of sending crates of beignets down the bayou?!

Since 2024
What if they have beignet-scented urinal pucks? Scentsy can do amazing things. Soon, we will have elephant-scented candles!I wonder how well the beignet smell will mix with the bromine smell.
The mill seems like a weird spot for a mural to me, but it looks... fine? Not bad. Better than the one on the barn. It reminds me of the illustrations they have in those Emeril cookbooks...Mural which will be seen in the left of the bottom of the second lift hill as we enter the mill house.

This. The primary marketing has been focusing on the backstory and that’s a mistake.
Yeah, I like Louis. Hopefully the storyline does Louis more justice than that original "dur hurr he's too stupid to find his trumpet" plotline. The redeeming factor is that Louis will be the true star no matter what they do - Louis can do no wrong and will surely make me smile!
I can't believe how dreadful that reads. To all the “the coop is just a backstory” folks, why are you ignoring what Disney’s published regarding the storyline for the ride? The on-ride continuation of the mural corroborates this is what we’re largely going to get:

Disney Reveals New Storyline for Tiana's Bayou Adventure
Walt Disney Imagineering shares next chapter in Tiana's story, as part of Tiana's Bayou Adventure attraction experience coming to Disneyland Park and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.disneyparks.disney.go.com
100%.That’s because TWDC is following the wrong I word… Inclusion instead of Imagineering…it’s almost like the company feels that as long as the ride checks the correct boxes, it really won’t matter if Tiana is superior to Splash…it would be ironic if the best addition is the weathervane…
100%.
The box checking... That's exactly what I noticed when I just read the promo bit for this ride.
It's SO bad that it sounds like a joke.
It sounds like something that was made up to make fun of this whole inclusivity, DEI, etc., thing that's endlessly pushed.
If this ride is good, and I really hope it is good, it'll be good in spite of all of that - not because of it.
I know I've said it a bunch of times, but the film gave them all of the ingredients (pun intended) to make this a great ride.
But these people believe they know better, and think their messaging is more important than entertainment.
That Mural of a giant bowl of ingredients coming together as Jambalaya has nothing to do with the the environment of the outside themed world and nothing that invokes what is going on with the characterized world of the inside.
That mural would be gawdy awkward even on Main Street.
