People had *years* to get their last ride in.

And weeks for last call.

For them to wait until 10:50 PM to get in line for bragging rights is them being completely disrespectful to the CMs.

Remember the CMs? The people who often get defended here against the "Karens" of the world. Well, if you waited until after 10 PM tonight for the last ride.... *you* are the Karen here. And defending them over the CMs who aren't getting home until 3 AM is just rude.

THANK YOU. What about the closing CMs?? They still have to cycle through the already super long queue. They still have to complete the closing procedure after cycling everyone through.

Folks had three whole years to get their last rides in. If they haven’t done so by now, oh well.

All I would say is how difficult would it have been to plan in advance and update the app then (see screenshot)? Similar to how they update Rise’s hours.

I have no dog in this fight but the spit in the face attitude is above some of the folks on here.

Or…..they schedule the cast until 6 am like a Grad Night (which I worked when I was younger) knowing full well this was going to be a memorable night for thousands of guests to get their last ride in up until closing.

See, focusing on the guest and planning ahead to wow them with your service isn’t hard, is it?
OR... they give a huge amount of time for people to get their last ride in. Which they did.

And if a certain group of guests all procrastinate, or play the game of trying to be last on line which caused the MK CMs and security headaches, they deserve to miss out.

Remember that its not just the handful of CMs running SM that have to stay late, but all the other CMs doing security and closing the park and providing transportation.

Yes, folks have gotten use to hopping on line at 10:59 PM for a popular ride, making CMs work late. And Disney has usually been gracious in letting people do that. But, shutting a line down early when it's more than two hours long is SoP so that guests aren't there at 2 AM, as well as CMs.

When FoP was initially throwing 3 hours lines, DAK regularly shut that line down an hour before closing.

It’s not fair when guests were told earlier today the line closed at 11.

It's been well known by anyone who's visited the park that you're able to enter the line up until the time the park closes.

Disneyland announced this closure a few months ago, and scheduling should have been prepared for this.

This is an embarrassing showing from park ops and shows absolutely no respect for the guests who are currently there, as well as Splash Mountain fans- unceremoniously closing the ride an hour early.
