Shhhh don't give them ideasIt would be like if they changed GRR and instead of changing the bear I to something else. They just lopped off the top of the mountain.

I'm gonna reach here and say, no. Princess movies are not growing in popularity with young boys.Princess movies have definitely shifted in popularity with little boys as well. Everyone loves Tiana.
I’m going to wait for more information to come out.A new mountain wouldn't, correct. And the story doesn't require it. However, the mountain they are using was designed to have that steeple feature. The other elements tie into that. The architecture and design supports an element that will be absent. Because they wanted it faster and cheaper. The same reason Mission BO never had it's enclosed top window as was the original intention for the changeover.

I would also take 2015 Disneyland over the current version. This also includes DCA.
But they made it MORE Disney! Give the people what they want.I would also take 2015 Disneyland over the current version. This also includes DCA.
As a 38 year old male, I just love a good story and execution. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty have incredible designs and sequences, but the films feel thin and aimless at times. Cinderella is 3/4 mice vs cat shenanigans. The title characters are also incredibly flat. Beauty and the Beast is an incredible piece of art, Tangled is a ton of fun, and Princess and the Frog begins incredibly well, then gets progressively worse scene by scene. As a 24 year old male, I love the classic Disney princesses, especially Sleeping Beauty. Renaissance and modern I couldn't care less about, with a major exception for Tangled.

First mention of Baxter in 3 years. Glad he is involved even if it is to a limited extent.Comments from Tony Baxter in an article from the LA Times -
"Famed Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter, known for spearheading Big Thunder Mountain and his role in bringing the works of George Lucas into Disney parks, oversaw Splash Mountain’s creation and has served as creative advisor to Imagineering on the project. Baxter voiced his support for the makeover in a statement provided by Disney. In the comment, Baxter argues that Disney in the early to mid-’80s was often forced to look to the company’s deep past for inspiration, as its own films of the era struggled to resonate on a larger cultural scale."
“When Splash Mountain came to life over 30 years ago, the wave of Disney Animation that started with ‘The Little Mermaid’ had not yet begun,” Baxter said in a press release. “New stories would give us characters, music and wonderful places that now reside in the hearts of audiences everywhere. Following conversations with Imagineering’s leaders about the new attraction’s scope and resources, I had a great sense of reassurance — the attraction will be one to be proud of ... bringing to life places, characters and music from the animated classic ‘The Princess and the Frog.’”
