It's also the only remaining bit of an otherwise deleted conversation, so now it exists as it's own island tangent within this thread.
I’m glad it was deleted. Splash will close. This project is happening. Posts that suggest otherwise are extremely annoying and pointless.
In some more positive Splash news, a second clip of Sooner or Later being used on the ride has been found.

I think Disneyland managment wants to send the ride out looking the best it can under the circumstances. I wish Disney Worlds managment felt the same before they closed theirs.
They wait until the ride is about to permanently close to start fixing things that haven’t worked in years. Ridiculous.

I wonder if they’re poaching parts from the FL ride, free parts = a lot of cheap fixes they couldn’t do on their maintenance budget before.
That is possible. I wouldn’t rule it out.
Disneyland was saved from closing in January by MMRR opening and Indy being down for rehab

That sounds like Disneyland is, since Iger's return, more willing to do maintenance on their rides than Walt Disney World.
Splash literally is broken.

It's not really an Iger being back thing so much as Disneyland managment seems to take maintenance just a bit more seriously. Even during the last refurb when Chapek was in charge WDW didn't really focus on any show scenes it was just the ride system. Disneyland seemed to do some touch-ups since it was down a little longer.

The maintenance issues of the past few years are, like most pandemic-era problems, a combination of hiring challenges and supply chain issues. If there's improvement in maintenance I would expect it is a sign that one or both of those issues is improving.
Thanks to my friend who's more familiar with DL's Mountain's help, I was able to put together an updated list of what's not working from this POV. I think the only reason it's not getting called out like Florida's is how fast DL's goes so you don't have time to see what's broken, which is alot
How Do Ya Do
- First goose on right still having body motion issues
- Frog between geese on top row not moving mouth
- Oar goose still not moving body
- Goose next to Br’er Gator only moving arm, mouth and head turn
- Br’er Bear only going up and down in the trap
- Br’er Bear’s audio is very quiet
- Br’er Fox’s head stuck turned away from Br’er Bear and his left arm is stuck
- Br’er Rabbit moving slower than usual
- Br’er Terrapin not moving aside from mouth
- Roadrunner movement looks very jerky and not at all fluid
- Pumpcart Br’er Rabbit is moving but his cart isn’t rolling
- Poppy, Pansy, and Petunia are missing
- Hitchhiking Crocodile has his head slumped forward, his jaw barely moving and has a lazy eyelid
- Laughing Br’er Rabbit has limited animation
- Br’er Bear “Nothin’ but bees” line starts after the log has already started falling and the audio is extremely quiet
Laughin’ Place/Burrow Lament/Big Drop
- Beehives seem to not be working
- Br’er Bear being stung is completely stationary
- Br’er Rabbit rocking forward slowly but reclining normally
- Arm not moving
- There’s a very loud clicking sound from one of the figures (Not sure which)
- Spinning boat dog is dead and has no lights
- Stork 1 missing
- Stork 2 has limited movement
- Goose is stuck turning away from riders and forcefully tilting forward, not naturally.
- Saddlesore Swanson has no body animation from the neck down
- Br’er Fox doesn’t lunge forward and has a broken jaw sneaking up on Br’er Rabbit
- Mother Possum has limited movement
- Smallest child rabbit not moving
- Neither vulture working
- Br’er Rabbit and Fox audio very quiet next to chain lift
Zip A Dee Doo Dah
- Br’er Porcupine’s hands are moving strange and the drumsticks are falling out
- Br’er Raccoon’s eyes are stuck looking away from each other
- Guitar Gator’s mouth not moving
- Mule with cart barely moving
- Wolf in front of flower cart slumped over
- Two white cats moving slower than usual and mouths are not moving
- Waitress Pig has her head twisted unnaturally
- Zip-a-dee-lady not rocking back and forth
- Wheel inside the ZaDL not moving either
- Showlights on the left side of Zip-A-Dee-Lady burned out.
- Scoliosis Fox in front of the Capt. Andy sign tipped over and moving very jerkily
- Red Can-Can goose moving slower than the other two
- Mr. Bluebird not working
- Br’er Gator slowing down pulling on Br’er Fox’s tail.
- Finale Br’er Rabbit not moving from the neck down
- Barnaby Owl not moving and audio is very distorted

Swamp Boy #1 is also missing his signature sunglasses. This needs to be fixed immediately.
