Indiana Jones reopens on Friday, and since Splash's closure was delayed due to Indy, I feel like we're getting close the end of Splash. @GiveMeTheMusic Anything to add?

Did any credible insiders cite Splash's delayed closure was due to Indy being down?
It seems like this was something rumored but there could be any number of things contributing to the closure.

I think they are taking down Big Thunder still, so I expect Splash goes down after Big Thunder is back up.

Big Thunder is down April 3 - 13th. Matterhorn does go down right after Thunder on the 17th, but since there's no end date for Matterhorn I don't think they'll delay until it reopens

I’m looking to book a DL trip from the East Coast so I can say I rode both Splashes—I’m eyeing the last weekend of April. Operating hours are posted but I know that means next to nothing. What do we think about the lead time is gonna be between announcement and closure?
If they truly were waiting on Indy and Toontown to reopen, then it could go any second and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they silent closed or made last day reservations only due to how busy Florida’s got on the last few days

Every rumor I’ve heard is May or June at the earliest, Disney will want to give people a last chance to ride (and the announcement will increase ticket sales for last rides), it’s not guaranteed but all indications are you should be good the end of April.
So the save Splashers held their protest....and only one person showed up.
The three things I hear rumored about Splash's future-
1. Close in May even though Indy is already reopening
2. Close in mid April after BTMRR reopens on the 13th
3. Wait until Matterhorn comes back from refurb (Closes April 17 w/no date yet for reopen)
Personally I think 2 is their best option is they want to make a 2024 deadline

Save Uncle Remus is an interesting sign for a Splash Mountain protest, as Uncle Remus has little to no presence in the ride, only a few of his (uncredited) quotes adorn the walls of the queue.
Perhaps this person was instead petitioning for a return of the 60th iteration of World of Color, where Neil Patrick Harris portrayed Uncle Remus?

Gee, Indiana Jones is open, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is open, Toontown is open and still no closing date announced for Disney's Splash Mountain. I could have sworn people here said they did not want to close Splash until all those were up and running. Well...here we are and Splash is STILL open. It's almost as if Disney is only going to close Disney World's version and someone behind the scenes is fighting to keep Disneyland's open like previously reported. Hmmmm.

I can't wait to read what your excuse is going to be when April and May both come and go and the ride is not only still open with no closing date announced but more of the broken effects have been fixed.

A while ago it was rumored before Iger took back over the reason the ride had not been closed and no closing date was announced was because Ken Potrock was doing everything he could behind the scenes to keep Disneyland's version of Splash open with Florida being the only park to get the retheme.

While I love your enthusiasm, that seems highly unlikely that the TDA President Du Jour would care enough to get that involved.
Just my gut reaction to that opinion, if you don't mind me being blunt.
That really stupid rumor of DL's President and "his board (!)" fighting the retheme is completely made-up B.S.
As for when DL's Splash goes down, one actual insider has said May.
Then there is this...
And one of our most trusted Insiders called MK's Splash going down first before DL a year ago. Which means that DL's Splash's retheme had been long ago planned to happen after MK's.
Not to mention Disney officially announced it's happening. And that nearby venues are already being rethemed to PatF in DL.
It's going to happen. All rumors to the contrary is literally wishful thinking and an internet echo chamber of nerdragers and clickbaiters who repeat outlandish rumors so much that the naive think it must be true. What counts is one's source, not how many times it gets repeated.
Or we can all go along with WDW Pro who had it closing in January. This past January.
