Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Bears? I wouldn't be surprised if there's plans behind the scenes we don't know about to get rid of them at some point.
In 2019 there was a rumor that they were planning on replacing the bears with a Woody's Roundup show.

Not sure how legitimate it was, but the furor got big enough that Disney put out a statement assuring guests that it was sticking around.

I hope it stays forever, but clearly modern Disney has no idea what to do with it. The original show is a gem.

I remember there were plans to get rid of Enchanted Tiki Room as well, I hope not because I love both shows.

Indeed. That Unscrupulous Site was pretty sure Tiki and CBJ were going to have a complete retheme.

Was WDI thinking about it? Probably. They probably have a pile of ideas for every ride and attraction. And some get discussed or thrown about more often than others.

But, it certainly didn't happen. And that's how That Guy got called out for being Unscrupulous.

They were certainly discussed here too. I'm not sure if he got caught as the source or not, but I don't remember the insiders of the time instantly dismissing them on here either.

I'm sure I'm not going to like the answer I will receive, but I must know...

I understand they removed "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" from the music loop outside the park, but did they also remove it from the King Arthur Carrousel? I'm not sure if they still play it now, but I know they used to way back when.

It's gone, they went for the "burn it all down" approach.

The one thing I guess it has going for them is that it’s a relatively small area and it’s kinda in the middle of things, so it’s not in the way of any possible future expansion.

If they replaced it, it probably would be replaced with another show of its caliber (like the rumoured Woody’s Roundup). They probably figure “why bother?” at the moment.

If it means Pooh g
And does anyone else have a hunch that Critter Country becomes part of New Orleans Square?
If it means Pooh gets demolished and tossed in the garbage (Now, you know how the Country Bears felt, Evil Stuffed One!), and the building is used for an “Other Side” dark ride, I’m all for it. Actually, I can see the land more likely being altered into an animal-populated fantasy swamp; smoothly transitioning from NOS to GE.

Disneyland Gallery has added a Tiana's Bayou Adventure display. Features a CG rendering of the exterior like WDW got at D23

FYI the artwork of the Moana Tikiroom came out a year or so later from an artist that was former WDIs portfolio. So the site was vindicated in this instance.

Nope.

That Guy said Tiki was going away completely.

The Moana addition predates his rebuffed 'leak' and had many insiders saying it was a thing being considered.

I’d rather just buy the Splash Mountain soundtrack (both versions) still widely available on iTunes and Amazon. (Do make sure to get the OFFICIAL version — buyer beware 😄)

Now this is a topic I love.

Sadly, Disney has never released Disneyland's Splash Mountain's audio in it's entirety.

They released the area loop as part of the Disneyland Forever kiosks- which have been meticulously compiled and are available online if you know where to look. To this day the Disneyland Forever project is a treasure trove of high quality audio and some really rare pieces. BUT they omitted one version of Zip a Dee Doo Dah that plays in the queue/area loop. So it's impossible to have the entire queue loop in high quality audio.

For the actual attraction- they've released a few versions of 'Splash Mountain Medley'. They're all sort of a blend of Disneyland and WDW audio- even for Disneyland specific releases. There is no high quality 'complete attraction' ridethrough released like Pirates and Mansion have gotten. And it's a shame.

There is a really low quality 'complete attraction ride through' that was leaked in like 2000 that's super low quality- and even it is missing the 'I'm glad I thought of that' bit of audio that plays just before the final drop.

So you can piece together parts of the attraction but it's impossible to throw on some headphones and listen to the entire attraction like you can with Pirates and Mansion, which got anniversary releases about 20 years ago with complete ride throughs that have basically all of the audio present.
