I just noticed the log… Does this mean our logs are changing from single file to side-by-side?
No, DL is still going to have the single file logs. They're not going to alter the track width, and DL's current track is far too narrow to accommodate the wider double-row logs from WDW and Tokyo.

The model they showed at D23 for DL's variant still shows the single file logs. They also showed a CGI render of WDW's at the event with the larger side by side logs (along with a few minor scenery alterations, such as the purple sign hung stop the mill lift being absent on the WDW render).

We have a closing date for the one at WDW (January 23), but still no such date for Disneyland's version, though I bet it will not be until after January 27, the opening day for the new Mickey ride in Toontown, so as not to lose park capacity. Although, they should just wait too open the ride until March, when all of Toontown will be open then.

I'm going to really enjoy looking at that as I round the bend in New Orleans Square at twilight. Since Galaxy's Edge opened I've always thought a bit of alien phosphorescence on the tall rocks would really punch up the evening atmosphere.
If the blue, green, and purple lighting in the model will make it to the final product, it should be stunning at night.

The other thing to keep in mind is both IJA and GRR are now scheduled for fairly lengthy refurbs according to the app. Until “Spring 2023”. Assuming a possible March/April reopening and with the rest of TT reopening then I do wonder if TDA may be waiting on getting some of this capacity up.

Even if it is a different park, they may not want both water rides down simultaneously at the resort.

If the closure of the Indiana Jones ride means that it will get the attention it so desperately needs, then I'm fine with it being shut down.

Now that you mention it, I don't think Magic Kingdom has any big rides down for rehab right now that losing Splash as well would cause an apocalypse.
