I don't know. All I know is Florida is closing early January (Before the 15th is the date I heard) and that California is either holding out for Toontown or MRR

they'd throw guardians of the galaxy references in there if they had any leftover hardware.
Splash/Critter Country sold Star Wars merchandise in the gift shop within the last 2 years. I wouldn't put anything past them at this pointNever underestimate the power of modern Disney

I have the mental image of Disney employees actually going into both versions of the attraction and vandalizing it as yet another attempt to "justify" the retheme.

Clearly there's a competition between MK and Disneyland for which Splash Mountain is in worse shape!
Trust me, they don’t care enough to do something silly and pointless like this.
The rides are simply poorly maintained. Don’t start with the “justification” talk again, for the love of God.

I recall back in 2013 they actually refurbished Splash Mountain and fixed what needed to be fixed, though. What, are they just too lazy to keep maintaining it?
Because it was reopening. Here they're not gonna throw money at a ride they're gutting in less than 2 months

If not January, then it'll limp out til Toontown reopens from its overhaul. Either way Splash most likely won't last to April
