Things I want to do but refuse to spend the money.

Vinylmation or a Duffy the Bear. These things have nothing whatsoever to do with what I consider to be Disney themed items. It's just something some Disney execs dreamed up to make money. They remind me of when Hallmark created Sweetest Day just so people would spend more money on cards and such.

When I first set foot in WDW back in 1983, after parking my car and taking the tram, one of the first things I did was marvel when the Monorail was riding through the Contemporary Hotel. I always wanted to stay there on the top floor in a room overlooking MK. I have the money to do it (once) but I will never be able to do it. I might enjoy the moment but I know that I would regret it just as soon as the moment was over. Too much money for too little return.:(

oops  I read the thread wrong..it is suppose to be what I want to do but refuse to spend money on...so far I haven't sprung for BBB for DGD7 even though she is my princess... I just kind of feel like we can do her hair and makeup as well as the boutique could sort of...and she has so many princess outfits anyways....but always I think when we are at WDW... I ought to take her to BBB for a makeover..o_O .. and then that thought passes and I don't:(

I don't have a smart phone, just an old flip open.

Just like my mom... who lost her phone at the casino in Vegas once and ran around a nervous wreck like you thought her wallet was missing... I was like mom relax no one will want your phone... it's not an android or iphone. Someone will find it and turn it in and you will have it back in a couple of hours probably. An hour later we checked and sure enough someone had found it and turned it in..:)

The key is "want" to do but refuse to spend the money.
The only thing I can think of has to do with cocktails.
I love a good Long Island Tea. At $10 each and not very good, I won't be drinking those again at the world.

No kidding, I discovered those drinks with the glowing ice thing in them??? DD28 actually ordered them for us. She bought the first round and I bought the second..I loved them and they were beautiful! DD28 I think called them mixology or some thing trendy sounding... well when it was my turn to buy the round and I shelled out 20 bucks and 5 for the tip.. I was like SARAH JANE ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?? 50 BUCKS FOR 2 ROUNDS OF COCKTAILS!! They needed to come with a job..

Things that I want to do, but refuse to spend the money has in the past included: deluxe resorts (and when money was particularly tight, even staying on property was sacrificed!), more than one TS meal per day, more than one souvenir per DD. This year though, I have been saving for awhile, working two jobs, saving and saving and am planning a Girls Gone Wild trip for my 40th! And before anyone gets too many ideas about Girls Gone Wild, I am talking deluxe property, any character meal we want and souvenirs! I have been working myself crazy, I plan to spend the money I worked hard to make and not feel bad about it!
