Thing you are most looking forward to doing when you visit the world???

Nah, it's not lame. For years now, one of my favorite places is that little side street on Main Street U.S.A in MK (the one where the silhouette artists are). I've never seen it crowded, as most people are in a hurry to head up to the castle. I'll grab a water or a soda and just sit back there and relax. It also kind of fun to listen to the singing lesson going on upstairs in the music teachers home..:)

That is a good one...i have ducked in here after Wishes, to wait out the crowd

For this trip I'm looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations I've only seen Epcot at Christmas. Normally, it would be relaxing with a Mickey premium bar in front of the castle.

There is a big difference between Disney enthusiasts and those who do not understand why we are like this. It is called sitting back and taking it all in, all the small things. Not just going on the rides( you can do that at any park) it is all about the atmosphere and taking a step out of reality. That is why we tend to find those places to sit back and enjoy everything that is around us. Dont get me wrong though the rides and parades and fireworks are all outstanding.

As Scar Junior pointed out, VERY WELL SAID!

When I think about my trip to Disney World, my thoughts go to the first evening. After checking in to our Disney resort and grabbing a quick bite and drink from the bar/lounge, I make my way out to the pool for and evening swim. It's time to just relax and absorb the resort's atmosphere. Watching the families who are having fun in the middle of their vacation, knowing my fun has just begun.

It's so great! After planning and looking forward to my WDW trip for months. I've finally made it. I love that feeling!!

I too love just sitting and watching "the World". You can catch so much Disney magic that way.

My first ride is always the Haunted Mansion followed by Pan then PotC. Once I have those three under my belt, I just go with the flow.

We always start our first night with dinner at a restaurant we have never been to before. Last time it was California Grill, which was fabulous. We timed it so we could watch the fireworks during dinner. It was so amazing.

This trip, Le Cellier. I am looking forward to experiencing what so many other Disney lovers have raved about on these boards.

In the end, I just try to remind myself that I am at my favorite happy place and that nothing can be wrong with that.

I'm with you Foreverbelle. The first thing is going to DTD and eating at the Sandwhich of Earl and people watching. I am not totally in the moment until entering the gates of any of the parks. I love that moment after scanning my card, knowing I am finally there.

This thread is definitely making me antsy! I leave to the world a month from monday and I'm so excited! It has only been about 7 months since I last visited and i'm going thru withdrawals. I can't wait to see Cinderella's Castle again and ride the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's flight, Spaceship Earth, The Great Movie Ride and Pirates of the Caribbean. Going on Pirates of the Caribbean is when it finally hits me that I am in Walt Disney World. :sohappy:

I am looking forward to staying at POR for the very first time. I am also excited about eating at a few new places that we have heard so much about. My BFF and her children are going as well and this will be their very first trip so I am excited about showing them around and watching their faces. I just enjoy being there, no matter what we are doing. :)

This is where we sit for a breakfast pastry on our first morning ... a 'we're really here' moment. I also love walking round the lake from BC to the Boardwalk bakery for breakfast when it's quiet. This year I'm looking forward to dinner at Cali Grill for the first time (7.50pm .. good for the fireworks too, I hope), and to Keys to the Kingdom. 72 days and too many things to look forward to !!!! :sohappy:

Exactly. My favorite thing is sitting in that sidestreet after Wishes when the park is almost emptied out. I love just hearing the music of Main Street USA and looking at the lights. I just love the sights, sounds, and smells. I, also, love sitting in Tomorrowland at night, right outside Cosmic Ray's and enjoying the atmosphere. (heck, I love Cosmic Ray's, too. Is there a better quick service in the Magic Kingdom? Well, other than having a window seat at Pinocchio's and watching It's a Small World.):sohappy:
Great Thread, by the way......

Every trip I write up a list of things I would like to do, see, & try. The list usually consists of new restaurants CS and TS, snacks and beverages, rides and attractions, things to get (souvenirs etc.) and other various activities to look foward to.

I'll be there next Saturday!

I'm looking forward to Tonga Toast and a Dole Whip, to Wishes, to forgetting its my 40th birthday and losing myself in my childhood.

But mostly, to that walk through the tunnel, seeing Main Street unfold before my eyes and the first glimpse of the castle.

This may sound a little selfish, but the thing I am looking forward to most on this next trip is the fact that I am going by myself. A whole week of doing what I want to do and not having to worry about pleasing anyone else. I want to find all these little quiet places everyone talks about, take the time to watch an entire Street Performer skit @ the Studios, ride Haunted Mansion 3 times in a row if I want to, all the things that are hard to do when you're with other people.

Don't get me wrong, I love my family, and I do have plans for October 2010 with DD20 (and maybe Disneyland Paris in March 2010.) But this trip is just for me.

One thing I always look forward to: walking down Sunset Ave towards ToT. Always hits me and reminds me I'm at WDW. It's odd like that. lol
