Love beets! Not a fan of Pickled but marinated are great on a salad.

Only problem for me with beignets is the powdered sugar. It tastes great, but if you’re breathing in through your nose when you’re taking a bite you’re snorting it, and if you breathe out through your nose while taking a bite you’re blowing it all over the place…just give me a plain beignet with dipping stuff, please…!!!!!

To weigh in on this important discussion about the status of beets, I don't like them -- either plain or pickled!

Skimping on the powered sugar. Ate the real deal at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans and the powdered sugar was more than generous.

Yep, been there, done that for our youngest DDs 21st birthday in Sept. of 2015…!!!
Gotta’ love the powdered sugar everywhere in the last pic with the little one…!!!!!
Cafe Du Monde was not the cleanest surroundings to eat your food in but it added to the atmosphere. I remember the small bathrooms, those were disgusting.Yep, been there, done that for our youngest DDs 21st birthday in Sept. of 2015…!!!

Beets are a superfood. I eat them several times a week the no salt canned ones and the USA women’s soccer team had beet salads on their training table prior to recent matches.

I was never in the bathroom while we were there, and didn’t notice too much uncleanliness, except a few tables that needed to be bussed/cleaned, and, of course, there was a lot of powdered sugar on the tables, chairs and floor…!!!!!
