The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I don't think that's necessarily true. Epcot forever for example is not that highly regarded. In the last few years of its run, HallowWishes and Holiday Wishes weren't very well received. Neither was rivers of light. Happily ever after, on the other hand, is extremely popular.
Agreed. And honestly I think HEA was popular because it was actually good, not just because it was new. I absolutely loved Wishes (still do), and I think HEA is the superior show. I think if people actually gave HEA a chance instead of being sour that it replaced Wishes, they could maybe see that. Iā€™d also like to point out that prior to the announcement of its closing, many on this forum were very vocal about how much they disliked Wishes and that it overstayed its welcome. Funny how quickly that changed when it was replaced.

Or go to the west coast and see their shows, with the exception of Mix Magic every show Iā€™ve ever seen on that coast beats Wishes (well Believe in Holiday Magic might not) including Remember Dreams Comes True which used the best parts of Wishes and HEA beats all the DL shows.

I have to agree, I think HEA edges out RDCT ever so slightly. The message it presents about being the source of your own magic to achieve your dreams is beautiful and so important to teach, especially to young children. To reduce it to being just a Disney clip show is so insulting to the creatives who put this show together. I really hope itā€™s the same team behind HEA thatā€™s creating Enchantment.

Think of it as an aggregator of news and the more reliable rumors.

But remember, even reliable rumors can have Disney waffling undercut its accuracy.

It also contains some educated guesses, which are, in the end, still guesses.
This is one of the better descriptions Iā€™ve ever seen of ALL the rumor mills.

I would assume it's a temporary replacement for the 50th anniversary, yeah? Probably with 30% more gold since they've been adding gold foil and filigree to other signage.
Reminds me of a dilapidated Atlantic City casino

Staying at SoG at the moment and I hear fireworks erupting from the Magic Kingdom. I assume itā€™s a HEA test.

I Wish! LOL! Yes we only have 1 more week but, it would be nice to see HEA still intact!

According to the Poly/Boardwalk overnight Streams, No Pyro was tested at MK/Epcot last night. Unless the Camera missed it? Lights were tested on WSL and what looked like a lazer on SSE, IDK for what Show...

Pyro was tested at Epcot. Not sure about MK.

OK! I Stand Corrected!!! After doing research on Twitter and checking the Boardwalk Stream again, EF was tested last night!!! Sorry about that!! I still don't see anything on the Poly Stream. But I could be blind since I have a cold or something.

HEA is a fine show, but itā€™s not exactly timeless. To be fair neither was Wishes. I guess I donā€™t understand the zeal here.

Indeed, there is too little critical thinking involved.

E.g., I don't understand how people think that HEA had less fireworks or a more jumbled 'story' than Wishes.

All one has to do is read the script of Wishes and then look at the song choices to see that it makes little sense and had often had little to do with wishing.

HEA, OTOH, had a theme of 'the story' that led to a 'happy ever after,' which was divided into five sections that each began with a spoken quote from a movie, announcing the theme of each section, and each section was part of 'the hero's journey' and it had appropriate music and visuals for each section.

And a lot more fireworks.

But... 'my childhood!!'

I definitely think the power of nostalgia is what fuels most of the zeal for Wishes. I assume most of us were fairly young when the show debuted/it was the first Magic Kingdom fireworks show that people vividly remember. Also it was vastly superior to Fantasy in the Sky.

My hope is that Enchantment uses that power of nostalgia to its advantage. Excerpts of Wishes or SpectroMagic would be great to hear and show a reverence for the history of the Magic Kingdom, as a 50th anniversary show should. Also people would collectively lose their minds.

I can already hear crowd going wild when the SpectroMagic theme is performed just like the reactions to Tapestry Of Nations theme used for Epcot Forever.

Yep yes and yes.

Happily Ever After is the far grander spectacle. It's probably the best modern firework show to come out of Disney since RDCT.

It's a show fitting of the Magic Kingdom experience.

The only thing missing is Jiminy Cricket...
