Dollywood also has the “Food and Flower” festival. How original
Every theme park that came after Disneyland is basically copying Disney.

And if those other theme parks originate a new idea on their own... Disney copies it.

I have no problem with that. In the end, they're all going to copy from one another, especially anything which is well received and popular.

That 50 is basically plagiarised, though. If I didn’t love Dolly, I’d consider it totally inappropriate.

If that’s the case, every doctoral thesis is “plagiarized” because they use Times New Roman.

Besides, we should give credit where credit is due: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Argh. I hate fonts that make numbers inexplicably go way above and below the base lines.
It's to make them feel comfortable amongst other sentence-case content, as if they have ascenders and descenders like lower-case letters. A good font with this attribute generally has an alternate set of numerals amongst the glyphs to use when the variance isn't appropriate (e.g. in an all caps title).

I disagree. It’s clearly an intentional imitation of Disney’s rather distinctive 50th logo.

Speaking of Un-Official mascots….

If the WDW 50th was to have a ‘mascot’ to represent the entire disappointing package, what would it be?

Let’s have some fun here …and get the honest answers \ images!

So…the 50th.

Un-Official mascot….

Figment Popcorn Bucket?
Loud Spirit Jersey?
Bob Chapek’s bald head gleaming in the Florida dawn light?
Horrendous salmon pink painted Castle image?
Starbucks plastic tumbler bloodstained from fist fight in Emporium..?
Toilet paper …? ( not on the Castle, that was that other marketing promotion…cough )

Saturday is IT, folks!

Who is excited to finally see the end of this laughably bad ‘anniversary celebration’…?

I would like to know what is to become of all of those golden statues though.
Recycling?
Upper mangement giveaways?
Melted down to form new chain ropes for the ‘Tiana Bayou’ Attraction queues…?

Wait, what?

<checks the countdown in my signature>

What's "it" this Saturday? Did I miss some announcement?
