So I just went to Starbucks and saw their cups. There’s a pink one just like the 50th one and it’s $20 but the 50th is $40.

Recovering from my trip. It was okay. I wish all the limited edition merchandise didn’t sell out before I got to MK at around noon.
Nothing about being there on the 1st screamed first day of the 50th anniversary. It screamed, we waited until the last minute then Covid hit but Disney loyalists don’t care that we had 50 years to plan for it and will still show up.

Crowds were crazy but the wait times were amazing. I got to ride Space Mountain twice in like 20 minutes, same with 7 Dwarfs twice in an hour. Everyone was just flaunting their goods waiting on the fireworks. A nighttime parade would have made things so much better. Fireworks are just fireworks to me. I didn’t like the music for the new fireworks or the lack of the Renaissance era and other classics but I get why they went in that direction.
Can confirm, just got back from Magic Kingdom.
Crowds seemed to concentrate on the center and the shopping area.
Most attractions were in the 20-30 mins, except 7 dwarves which crashed a few times.
Also seems they to move all the crowd of the 7dwarves towards little mermaid, which was surprisingly busy.
The rest not so much.

\Lines for haunted mansion, thunder and splash moved nonstop albeit not too fast.
Little mermaid was swamped. I assume everyone from the 7 dwarves moved there after the mine train got closed for a few.

In the other hand, people were behaving like it was new years fireworks, camping almost 2 hours before fireworks.
And of course, the rude people who despite setting yourself infront of a planter, wanted to be INFRONT of you.
Also agree, almost all the good merch was gone. Or at least in the standard sizes. I could only find XL XXL and XS stuff.

Fireworks were as weird as Epcot.. what does Coco, Moana, etc.. has to do with Magic Kingdom?
It seemed like a spectacular about newer animation than actual 50 years of magic kingdom.

Pyro was ok, but I think it missed the epic finale like Wishes.

Also.. anyone knows whats going on? there was an insane amount of people in wheelchairs and scooters today.

Also surprised how fats they changed the fastpass signs for lightning lane.
I saw reusable bags that are like $2 being resold for like $20+. I was tempted to go and buy a ton but I was just over it. I’m not even going to lie I almost slapped the smirk off this jerk’s face with 4 Minnie Mouse sippers when I asked a cast member about it and she said it was sold out but being banned from Disney and in Orlando jail for the weekend came across my mind.
the bags were 2, 3 and 5 USD. So why pay 20+ ?
There were tons available at the Circus store area.

Wheelchairs and scooters aren’t surprising if people are returning 50 years later, or close to it, after WDW opened in 1971. Not everyone can make it on 10/1. If you were a child, you would be around 50 now. If you were in your 20s, you would be in your 70s now.

Camping for the FW may be the thing now but I suspect it will quickly become a “One and Done” just like Harmonious.

For me, I was grateful I could find XXL sizes, although regular is where I really should be.

Little Mermaid was a walk on all day for me. I was actually shocked how cheap the reusable bags are and wanted to buy more for myself and not for eBay. I can’t stand desperate buyers more than resellers.

Just saw the MK fireworks from the California Grill’s outdid viewing area. It was fine but certainly not anything that should have been used to celebrate the 50th. No emotion and seemed like
Most watching were underwhelmed. Ther was no applause at the end like for other fireworks shows.

Can someone explain to me why this tumbler is a big deal? It’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. The eBay poster probably fought over it and is now trying to resell it for over $110.

Item here.

Random question, but I'll ask it here...

Does Holiday Inn Disney Springs(being advertised as an 'Official' Disney World hotel) have the Parks TV station? I hope the answer is yes 😶
