What is the deal with Disney Starbucks merchandise! It’s not enough to have something from one corporation on your tumbler, you need two? For me, I never cared for Starbucks so no driving need for me to purchase a $5 cup of coffee from a Starbucks inside or outside of Disney, much less 50th anniversary merch.
I have two Starbucks tumblers from Disney. I have used one of them literally every single day the last two years, usually multiple times a day. Definitely got my $25 worth out of them.

I Finally Had a chance to watch the 20/20 special on Disney+.. ..While they were smart to focus in the parks and not a dag-gum reward show like the horrid DL 60th special..Some things mentioned didn't sit right with me...

No mention of the Muppets acquisition but, wanted to smear it big with Pixar and Star Wars ownership..

James Cameron stating that "where else can you have an attraction based around your movies!"

*cough*

*COUGH* even if it was in another park but still *COUGH*

Then there was the talk of Dreamer's Point where they talk about the Walt Statue and how you can sit with Walt looking into EPCOT and seeing his Dream coming true...

I Think they should have had him with a plaque and a small quote below stating..
"Where's My City??

Yeah, they were really snake-oiling some things but, it was okay..Still could have done without the singers..The instrumental segment with the fireworks seem to work better without anyone singing..Which is how Enchantment should have been.

Two parks down. Two to go. Here are two possibilities I found through a Google Search.

So you can sit with a statue of Walt and see the asymmetrical disaster that the core of Future World has become? Somehow that seems unsettling considering what a mess the central focal point of this park has become... Perhaps if Dreamers Point were in front of Spaceship Earth it might makes sense... before you get to the mere shadow of what EPCOT once was...
Unless perhaps Walt wants you to dream for a better board of directors and managers of his legacy....

Just saw the MK fireworks from the California Grill’s outdid viewing area. It was fine but certainly not anything that should have been used to celebrate the 50th. No emotion and seemed like
Most watching were underwhelmed. Ther was no applause at the end like for other fireworks shows.
Underwhelming is really the best way to describe the nighttime shows. On the bright side, I don't feel bad about letting my AP's expire next week.

Anyone know if they had heard any new 50th related narrations on the Busses, Monorail or other transportation within the resort?
None on the buses or Monorails the entire time I was there two weeks ago.
I didn't use any water transport this time around, so not sure if anything was happening there.

Cast at some of the original Attractions were noting during their spiels that is was also the 50th anniversary of said Attraction.
Or just drew additional attention to it being generally historically significant....such as 'Carousel of Progress'.

Best spiel I experienced realted to the 50th was on October 1st at MK.
Evening show over at 'Country Bear Jamboree', with a small audience.
CM pointed out it was also this Shows' 50th Anniversary today and how it was a Opening Day Attraction.
She then lead a sing along with Guests, after asking if we would all now sing 'happy birthday' to the Bears.

As a major fan of this Show, and appreciating the acknowledgement of its anniversary on a day that was lacking such events, it was a terrific moment.

Don’t forget, updating the spiels thishursch time is going to mean hiring a new voice actor (as unfortunately the current actor suffered a stroke.) Since Disney wants consistentency that means the new voice actor will need to record every part of the spiel and safety instructions. That takes time.
Just bring back Joe Hursch....

Was the 50th anniversary something they weren’t aware of ahead of time?
