I think HEA presents a fine story throughout with clear thematic motifs (Wishes, Call to adventure, Friends, Love, Conflict, Finale) Wishes may have had a more easy to understand story (it’s in the title) but that doesn’t mean it’s better.
Thank you for saying this because I’m tired of having to debate people who think HEA doesn’t have a storyline lol. I also take issue with it being called a clip show when a vast majority of the projections are original/created exclusively to fit to Cinderella Castle.

It definitely seeks to be more exciting and in-your-face, which is kind of where society is right now. I expect HarmoniUs to feel like scrolling through TikTok as well.

Yes
HEA would have looked awesome with fountains. Never gonna happen I’m sure. Have to go to Epcot now to see fountains in HEA 2.0 lol.
Y’all also forget that the moat at MK is not near street level. It’s 15 feet down. If there were fountains, you wouldn’t be able to see half of them. They’re not going to happen here.

This. This this this.
If you gasp enough watching something, it was good, right? Worked for the Roman Colosseum. Works for Universal. I’m less inclined to see it used at Epcot but they didn’t ask me.

At the very least, it won’t age well. What is hip and exciting in 2022 won’t be in 2027. The inspiring nature of RoE is why it could survive 20 years.

They were proposed for the Wishes successor in 2011. I had a chat about them on the 40th whilst discussing the hub expansion.
Besides, isn't DLP's moat pretty sunken low too? They don't have issues with fountains and seeing them.

Did you mean pearlescent instead? That is the better definition of what you call out.
Having seen the paint job up-close, I'd say that is the most accurate definition I've heard so far. Don't know the exact type of paint, but one thing is for sure: the pink/salmon paint color, is not flat.
