The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

Yep and then the pandemic continued and did not stabilize (it hasn’t stabilized yet) in time for the final call to be made. So it won’t happen by 10/1/21. Maybe it’ll happen during the 50th. Summer 2022 perhaps?

There is one potential problem, by Summer 2022 DL or DCA may also be in the position to run either PTN or MSEP. WDW might loose their opportunity.

Yeah and soon Epcot will have HEA 2.0 lol.
Kinda expecting that already. What will make it unique to Epcot is the music will be sung in different languages to represent "world showcase" (roll eyes). For Magic Kingdom, I just want Celebrate the Magic 3.0 on steroids with added projections in main street.

What? HEA 50th tag? Why not a brand new one. HEA is not a 50th celebratory show. It's like a video resume of all the Disney/Pixar films .
I'm only getting HEA 50th Tag from here, I'm no insider!

Other sites are calling it Project Nugget, nothing else......

LOL I love that description...but isn't that what almost every show is becoming at Disney properties? The one we saw in Shanghai was awful...just clips from every Disney and Pixar film...Zero substance.

To be fair they're all clip shows - Fantasy in the Sky, Wishes, Celebrate the Magic, etc; Where I think HEA "fails" is that its thematic links are weak (The music played doesn't seem to correspond to the emotion being described which I think Wishes did much better) and the pacing/build up is just off... it drags for me in the middle and the false finale.

So the celebration was originally to start this May through Christmas 2022. Apparently when they delayed 4 months, they didn’t move the Castle refurb back, so it’ll look like the 50th well in advance of 10/1. Just no cupcakes.

I guess we have our answer on, “are they going to paint again?”

It was a trade-off. Iger wanted CURRENT IP! Because they threw in imagery from current films, they were allowed to sprinkle in music from less-relevant films, which is nice. Otherwise it would have only been music from the last 10 years.

That’s too bad. The pink still doesn’t fit. ☹️

Why should we be fair? Why are they clip shows? Seems like they could do a lot better... While World Of Color (it's Debut) and Disneyland Paris "Dreams" were also clip shows they were tied together in a way that made more sense than most of these newer ones...
If clips are necessary at least tie them together with some sort of story arc... Not just clips for clips sake...

I much prefer HEA, and practically any DL show (Mickey’s Mix Magic is the outlier) over Wishes. I think HEA presents a fine story throughout with clear thematic motifs (Wishes, Call to adventure, Friends, Love, Conflict, Finale) Wishes may have had a more easy to understand story (it’s in the title) but that doesn’t mean it’s better. I really think some of you just got used to a mediocre show because it played so long. HEA not your cup of tea? Fine, but watch a video of Remember Dreams Come True, Magical, and Disneyland Forever and I guarantee you Wishes will not be your favorite show anymore. Particularly Remember which borrows the beginning and ending of Wishes but has a far superior middle section.

I found Remember to be extremely disjointed. Using Wishes bread with a peanut butter of Disneyland attraction audio clips wasn’t particularly inspiring. It was lazy because Eisner demanded it. The Hub fireworks were cool, however. “Is this haunted room actually stretching?!”
