The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

I highly doubt Epcot will reach capacity. The only reason I could see Epcot hitting capacity is if Harmonious gets announced to debut on Oct 1st.

But MK's park reservations are already full. It's 10/1 - the 50th anniversary. Obviously, the ideal would be to be in MK. But you could still reserve Epcot, ride Rat, for example, then park hop after 2pm to MK.

If the rumors come to fruition of reservation or tickets required for nighttime entertainment... that’s really going to make Oct 1 interesting.

I just booked my AP park reservations: Ep (10/1 - plan on park hopping to MK, if capacity allows me to, that is), MK (10/2), and HS (10/3). (Just got back from my spring trip. I can skip AK in October but I may add AK at the last minute after my first of three days expires. FOTLK will be back open by then). I booked a Marriott Envoy member reservation for an average of $123/night at Marriott SpringHill Suites Flamingo Crossing. Checking in Thursday 9/30. Check out Monday 10/4.

Actually debuting HEA, Harm, Rat, new projections on ToT and AK would help spread out the crowds, particularly if no park hopping was allowed that day, or at least no hopping to MK...

I hope I can hop to MK from Epcot on 10/1. But I just booked a last minute trip. So it's not like I didn't know I couldn't get in to MK on an original park pass beforehand.

If you're thinking Party like....that's a whole different system and doesn't interfere with the daily Reservations, correct?

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you’re making a distinction between capacity and park reservations. Epcot park reservations are now full for APs on 10/1.

I mean based on capacity limits as they are now it doesn’t surprise me, but unlike MK Epcot normally never reaches capacity. However in this situation Epcot might stay booked due to Park Hopping to MK.. So I take back what I said about Harmonious causing it lol. Sure won’t help if it does debut that night. Guess we will see.

If anyone noticed, the Rat announcement said that it would be a part of the "first season" or "opening season" of WDW's 50th (I forgot the exact wording).

I wonder what the headliners of the following "seasons" would be...
It’s not like they have many choices to choose from given that their are only two major attractions after Rat and Harm.

I guess Galactic Starcruiser and Play! Could count but maybe they don’t?

Going back to the castle and stage, has anyone figured out if the stage is going to be how it was? Or different?

As far as the castle goes, I wonder if they will touch up the blues and the gold trim? Or just simply add the decorations to it as is with no further paint?

Unless they do something like bring PTN to WDW (which at least was being considered at one point) or maybe a new nighttime entertainment somewhere like a RoL replacement.

They also could do some new shows at DHS - plenty of time to do so during the overly extended 50th celebration.

As an aside, did the new film for China Circle Vision ever debut? That should be coming at some point, right?

Reason our insiders are stayinq quiet on that is either it’s not happening at all or any parade, still unknown, or it’s in the works but because everything is so fluid right now nothing can be said about it yet. Hopeing for the latter lol.

Honestly, don’t give into the Disney hype/marketing machine and book a trip because Rat is opening on 10/1. Wait a few months and you won’t have to deal with the crowds that week.

Any guesses when we can expect the next 50th announcement/update? They still have some things to go over:

1. Resort wide decorations/Main Street banners and bunting
2. Merchandise
3. Cupcake designs (Something some on here are highly anticipating lol)

Eh well that’s probably about it come to think of it lol.

I'm assuming (roughly) RAT 10/1/2021, GOG 4/1/2022, TRON 10/1/2022. Lets them open a new ride every 6 months during the 18 month celebration.

A reasonable guess. Let's do this Hanukkah-style--gifts throughout. It would make more sense to flip the 2nd two, though.

Tron 4/1 during the early part of the 50th, GotG 10/1/22 for Epcot's 40th.

Not that their decisions of late make sense.
