The white Earfel tower

I noticed the theming from the new Monters Inc area. I am encouraged that this will be the level of theming for all of Pixar Place! Kudos to the team that came up with the facade. Hopefully the future is to carry the theme throughout the meet and greet when they are made permanent. Excellent!!!!

those ears are racist! Everybody knows Mickey has black ears. Why does the man want the world to think Mickey ears are white?

What next, Pluto's nose? :hammer:

To properly not offend anyone, the Earffel Tower will next be painted in a transparent paint, to make it nearly invisible. In addition, it will be given dreadlocks and a shoulder cannon to complete the Predator feel. :lookaroun

Thanks for the DHS updates, Steve.

During one of our family visits - either late 90s or early 2000's - the ears were painted blue . It was so wrong.

That was 1998 - for the premier year of Fantasmic! - it had white stars and moons like Mickey's sorcerer hat.

And that theming for the Monster's Inc. entrance way is from the old MGM days (the brick way with the busted gate) - the Imagineers did nothing too earthshattering to fit it into the new theme.

***hums "Doesn't matter if you're black or white."****

Hopefully it'll look great when it's done. It was starting to look a little ragged to me.

Why do they have to prime it first if they are painting it black again??
Primer is a base coat to protect rusting or damage of surfaces, or at least slow it down so they don't have to paint so often. It also allows you to keep from putting alot of extra layers of paint which would make it too heavy to stand without it being pulled down from the weight. And before we moved into our home I had to cover up some very dark blue paint from the previous owners with said primer. So it is also a cover for instances like this.

That is weird to see the Earful Tower all white on one side. But I know it's just to give the ears a fresh coat of black paint. Can't wait to see it with the new DHS logo!
