We have a couple of new photos of a a white Earfel tower at http://www.wdwmagic.com/disneyshollywoodstudios.htm
Why do they have to prime it first if they are painting it black again??
Why do they have to prime it first if they are painting it black again??
I would suppose they needed to sand what was there previously, and the primer just makes for a better paint job in any case. :shrug:
Because they already primed the bottom part of the tower, and thus redo the ears... so they don't have to come back and do them later and maybe ruin the new logo.
those ears are racist! Everybody knows Mickey has black ears. Why does the man want the world to think Mickey ears are white?
What next, Pluto's nose? :hammer:
:lol::lol::lol:
Thanks for the DHS updates, Steve.
During one of our family visits - either late 90s or early 2000's - the ears were painted blue . It was so wrong.
Primer is a base coat to protect rusting or damage of surfaces, or at least slow it down so they don't have to paint so often. It also allows you to keep from putting alot of extra layers of paint which would make it too heavy to stand without it being pulled down from the weight. And before we moved into our home I had to cover up some very dark blue paint from the previous owners with said primer. So it is also a cover for instances like this.Why do they have to prime it first if they are painting it black again??
