So...the WDW turkey leg ,as I like to call it, has been the subject of much discussion on these boards for awhile. They're pretty much either loved or hated, and is well known as one of the more popular 'walk around the park' snacks. So how do you really feel? Should they stay around, or should Disney get rid of them???

I've always liked the turkey leg. It tastes great and is a great food to walk around with. I don't share with anyone which is what I don't like to see. But I do like the leg!

I would never personally eat one, and I think they're quite disgusting to look at but I see no reason to get rid of them. I just wish people would eat them a little more nicely and not smear themselves with the turkey leg juices.

I'm the type of person that does NOT like to eat things with bones in them (like chicken wings & t-bone steaks). So I would never in a million years get one. However they are rather popular so I don't see the need to get rid of them. To each their own.

I couldn't agree with you more. I HATE eating things with bones. It's nasty, in my opinion.

Never had one but plan on it this trip. Oh and sorry but I'm planning on sharing with my 11 year old. She's been wanting to try one since our last trip.

I shudder to think how fat the birds have to be to produce legs that size (unless the rumor about emu legs is true). :lookaroun

Anyway...if we ever get to the point of growing 'em in the lab, I'll say to each his own, but I just don't think pumping birds with hormones to the point they can barely stand up is worth a quick treat myself.

Getting a turkey leg has become a tradition for us. It's the first course after we get off Test Track, and begin our trip around World Showcase..where we try to eat something from each country. Thats why I gain so much weight when we go to WDW, then spend a month trying to lose it when we get back!!! Keep the Turkey/taste like ham Legs!!!
