An impasse between Disney and cable carrier

Yeah but what is it specifically? If you're a Disney shareholder, don't you want to see Disney hold firm on getting the most value out of ESPN? Charter is hoping that Disney caves, and have petitioned their customers to go argue on their behalf, so is the expectation on the street that Disney is eventually going to cave?

If the demand for sports is still high, aren't they under a lot of pressure to make a deal? How did Charter's stock do today?

Why? Because people don't want Disney entertainment anymore? That's a pretty bold statement.
No…because his strategy has been exposed as not working moving forward and he’s stuck around way too long.
Just “minor” things
Chapek had other issues in addition to low stocks, including more pressing ones like being receptive to Peltz's activism, and making D+ more of a loss leader rather than less.
Yes he did…

And yet Bob still torpedoed him and would have no matter what…because ego must be fed and nobody cares about you when you’re “retired”

Here's an idea: Matt Ouimet for Disney CEO...thoughts?
Matt just resigned from the Cedar Fair board fyi…
It's not like he doesn't have some experience with the mouse. As a parks guy, his wiki page gives a solid outline as to why he could be CEO. And, I think he'd be an OK fit. What Disney needs however is a dynamic duo. Some checks and balances. Anyone this guy could be paired with... maybe someone in the media entertainment sector? Then it'd be a winning combo.

I could definitely think of worse choices than Matt.

Matt resigned "effective immediately to pursue other interests ". One can read the writing on the walls.
