So, I see that Jack Skellinton and Sally will be appearing at WDW in Downtown Disney near the AMC movieplex in support of Frankenweenie. Perhaps the Nightmare Before Christmas characters will be making an appearance during Tower 10 miler mile markers? Maybe the Villains Bash?
If so, hope to snap a picture or two, just like I did in Disneyland a few years back.

I dont think i ever got an official email. Maybe I did and I was underwhelmed since we were a few weeks ahead of them. Regardless. 6 days and 30 minutes till the start gun.
Thought I'd let the runners know about another WDWMagic meet & greet taking place at Epcot on Oct 1, in case anyone's still around. Even though y'all have set up a pre-race meet for WDWMagic runners, maybe some would like to meet up with a broader group.
Oct. 1, World Showcase Plaza (in between the two shops), 5pm

Thats most of the biggies. The important stuff is your registration waiver (save some time at the expo) and knowing where/when/how to get to the expo/start/finish. At the expo you will get your bib number, bag check bag, race program and last minute race instructions. That's all you really need.

I saw this on FB. Already orderd mine-not that I'm a big stitch fan but I love the thought of any memorabilia that has to do with the race.

Im going to pass on it. If Stitch wasnt on it, and it had a ToT cast member, it would be one more thing that I would ask Richard to do for me. LOL.

At the last Disney race I did, there was a place at the expo where you could pose with your bib and get a free photo with a Cinderella's castle back drop that looked pretty realistic.
If they used that Sunset Boulevard backdrop and let you be in the photo with your race number, that would a pretty cool free promotion!
In honor of race week and the villains theme, here is a photo I took with my kodak disposable camera at the Tower of Terror 13K race in 2008 of villains on the course. As I recall, all villains were at this one spot and there were no character attendants. There were some other villains not pictured because I recall doing a fist bump with Mr. Smee:
Your villains encounters are sure to be much improved!

We definitely plan to be at the M&G! Work and after-work activities have been killer for the past few weeks, and I can't wait to get on that purple plane down to MCO on Friday morning.
I have no idea what I am going to do in terms of the race. I did a "dress rehearsal" on Saturday night along the Lakeshore Trail, and I did not feel great about it (back and ankle pain). Actually, with the running/walking combo it worked out to just a little less than 120 minutes. You must be psychic!
My wife plans to walk the race, and I am debating whether to just walk with her. Maybe it will be a game-time decision.

I know, I cant wait till our plan takes off on Saturday at noon. Slightly worried about leaving the kids for the first time ever (after 4.5 years), but I know they will be fine. I am really just going to breathe a sigh of relief when that plane takes off and we are in the air.
LOL, OMG, I completely made a mistake in typing that. I meant to write 1 hour 20 minutes. Sub 8 minute pace. LOL.. I was trying to inspire you to run super fast to beat the crowded lines. Yes, I should have just pleaded psychic, but Im not. That is too funny.
Cant wait to meet everyone. Sending you an email with a question. Small world.

Well, after the second ToT 13k race, I rode TSMM 5 times in a row all walk on, last time they didn't even make me get out of the vehicle, just let me cycle through. Maybe 5 mins wait for ToT, RnRC, and Star Tours. Most of the time I recall was spent walking through the queues.
