The TTA

Does anyone get a little scared for the TTA?

I LOVE THIS RIDE. It's practically my favorite in all of Disney World. Weird, but true.

Anyways, Disney gives the ride absolutely NO TLC whatsoever. It seems to be getting more and more worn out. When I was there last summer, it basically stopped completely in Space Mountain, then later when getting on it, it stopped for 10 minutes. It's out of shape.

Are they going to let it die a slow death and then blame it on us and say "nobody rode it, so we'll close it?"

I really don't want the ride to close--but it seems like that's the sneaky path Disney is pushing it on. Maybe I'm wrong.

(Oh, wouldn't like an incredibles TTA EITHER!)

Who wants it to just stay the same, but be fixed up a little?

The ride got a little TLC about two months ago, not a lot though. Really it's not a big draw, but I don't think they'll make the same mistake they did in DL. This will stay open, it even has a sponcer now.

You aren't alone!!! I love this ride too. It's a great relaxing ride and I really enjoy seeing the other rides in the area from a different view (love seeing Buzz Lightyear on the TTA!) It could use a little TLC I suppose. I've never experienced any shutdowns on it, but I have never seen it closed or receiving a refurb, so I suppose it could use some attention. I'd be very sad if they ever decided to shut this one down. For me, it's a must-ride every visit!!!

I think it will be fine too. It's not like it takes up space that they could use for a different attraction. I like that it weaves around Tomorrowland. It really makes Tomorrowland come to life!

The TTA is one of those rides that we enjoy every trip. It's not the fastest, wildest, or greatest ride at WDW, but to me it's like a comfortable old shoe. I like the fact that my 70+ mother, myself and my daughter can all ride together. Whenever we're tired, hot or ready to avoid the crowds, we head to the TTA.
I also think the ride could use some upgrading, but I hope the powers to be at Disney leave it open for a long, long time.

I am also a huge fan of the TTA. I remember riding it tons as a kid, because it was my Dad's favorite ride (because he didn't have to stand in line to ride it;)). This was pre-fast pass when lines were all very long, kids.....

Last trip we got on about the time that they started Wishes. It was cool to get to see the fireworks from the TTA.

Its not in a horrible state at the moment... Plus, management is going to add some form of audio to include some of the newer Tomorrowland attractions soon.

They won't make the same mistake that they did in Disneyland... They know how stupid a decisicion that was...

It's not at it's worst, but it's far from it's best. I hope with the new attractions audio they maybe spend some time on paint and replace broken panels along the route.

What I am most worried about is that they would try to transform it into some other ride, probibly a showcase for their latest animated feature, and really destroy the idea of it being a ride through the future. I could stand a few plussses to it, but it still has to relate to being a ride around the city of the future.

TTA is one of my favorite rides: always done on our last trip to MK.

It honestly wouldn't bother me if they added some stuff to the ride, as long as the lines stay as consisent as they always are :).

But I think I would be pretty upset if we lost some of the good speech that is currently being played:
"Now approaching..." and
"Paging Mr. Orrow, Mr. Tom Orrow."

I kinda wish they had something like that in other parts of WDW as well. Think about a similar attraction at AK around the animals or at MGM in place of the backstage/backlot tour. I'd be all for it!

LOVE this attraction. There's never a wait and it cools you off on a hot summer day.

But yes, it does need some attention. The loading platform needs to be cleaned. The white paint is covered in dirt.

I recently read on VMK that TTA has the most riders. Im not sure if I read this wrong... but I almost thought they were saying that it was the most ridden attraction at the MK.

Anyone know about this?

I still call the WED Way people mover. I too am a huge fan. I use it to scope the lines on some rides. Or just because it's a nice relaxing little ride. I just have to remember to keep all forward facing tentacles out of reach when other ride by.

I also love this ride. Relaxing, long and uniquely Disney. A classic ride which made Disney, (along with a few others). Don't mess with it.
DLs version is also great. I like the way it weaves in and round the lagoon, monorail and other tomorrowland attractions. More scenic than WDWs.
