I love the TTA and hope they never get rid of it. After walking aroud the park all day I love to sit and relax and enjoy this ride. I never miss it when I am there.

The TTA= the ultimate relaxing ride in the MK,I could ride it for hours. I saw a video of Disneyland's Peoplemover on Youtube and I am still bedazzled as to why they removed it.

Had the Rocket Rods been installed and operated correctly, very few would be asking this question today.

The People Mover at DL (despite the few posts here that proclaim everlasting LOVE for it) was a very sparsely attended attraction at best.
It, like the Tiki Room, suffered from its old-fashioned, old-school roots.
Thrill rides tend to bring in new guests and the Rocket Rods were designed to fit the bill.

And I have to say, the RRods were a VERY fun attraction... but they just were never RELIABLE.

Using the WedWay tracks for a brand new surely-to-be-popular attraction (and it was VERY popular when it was RUNNING) was a clever idea.

But RRods were mishandled for budgetary reasons (and due to its 'high-tech' motor design being so "touchy".)

Had they just done the "right things" in DL's version, the RRods would have surely been retro-fitted into the TTA tracks at WDW's MK, as well.

Sad for the few who like to ride the TTA, but the RRods would have made another fine E-Ticket attraction in Tomorrowland.

The Rods if done properly would've been great. They could've added some brief narration even at the high speeds, like "Now Approaching Star Tours, Now Approaching Space Mountain", whatever, to make it interesting and still show off the land but in a faster, more modern way.

Just a question--

When they rehab Space Mountain eventually will the music I mentioned be removed? The Star Tunnel music? I hope not. Did Disneyland's music themes change in 2005 when they renovated theirs?

Everything is different at Disneyland at the moment, with that hideous Rockin' Space Mountain. The changed version you're referring to, though, only uses one of the same pieces of audio - the Space Mountain Comm Chat in the inside queue. Outside they now play the BGM played in Disney World's Tomorrowland, the ride itself uses the new music on the Disneyland CD, but I can't remember what is played as you exit.

We love the TTA. It could use some TLC, but I hope they don't change it. My kids are E-ticket junkies, but when I took them on the TTA, they enjoyed it so much they asked to stay on. Now it is one of our "must do" rides.
