Plenty of Synergy. And an E but not thrill.
How's that?

Someone mentioned something and then the cat was out of the bag and the thread blew up. But for months we could only guess. This applies here as well.unannounced things are discussed here daily._see Guardians of the Galaxy thread
I can't say anything more due to the nature of the project.Or because it hasn't been announced...

If and when it all comes out you'll understand why.
I'd be shocked. To have a Star Wars land/planet and LOTR? It'd be incredible. Idk what they'd pick and choose. Like, the Shire or Rohan or Gondor? If they used both the Shire and Gondor, that would be a huge portion of the park. What if it something completely crazy and they land the lord of the Ring rights, that would be out of nowhere.
Yes it would. JRR Tolkien had a dislike for Walt Disney because he would dumb down classic literature to make cartoons. I believe he had it in his will that Disney could not touch his work. But never say neverWhat if it something completely crazy and they land the lord of the Ring rights, that would be out of nowhere.
Tolkien forbade Disney from using his works for film, plays, or merchandise. But maybe, if Star Wars land looks un-Disneylike, Tolkien's people will change their mind?Yes it would. I'm still thinking it has to be IJ but the problem is that makes too much sense...
I always wondered about the details of that. Disney did have the rights to do a LOTR movie in the late 60's but let it lapse.
Middle Earth would be a pretty cool land to explore but probably too dark for Disney. I want them to have the Dagobah cave in the new SWL - Cave of Evil but would be too dark for a Disney IP.I always wondered about the details of that. It would be kind of strange to see new marvel attractions go in to two different parks around the same time. Though I guess we already have toy story and Nemo in two different parks. I'm not really sure what else it could be at this point unless they're on the verge of acquiring a big name ip.And that doesn't fit with Martin's statement "I can't say anything more due to the nature of the project." This really makes is sound like either a Marvel character that Disney doesn't have the rights to at the moment, or an outside IP. Are there any other IP's that Disney has a connection to, that would be totally their to use?
Maybe they're getting Captain America, so he and Indy can fight Nazis at the park together. And that doesn't fit with Martin's statement "I can't say anything more due to the nature of the project." I think they could possibly try to re-negociate the deal so that Disney could use characters that aren't used at IoA. A Hulk-less Avengers ride could potentially make sense with the way things are currently in the MCU.Maybe they're getting Captain America, so he and Indy can fight Nazis at the park together.
I can see them trying to get Iron Man back. He isn't used at Universal, and it's not like they're ever getting Spider-Man (unless something happens to the ride), X-Men, or Fantastic Four.

Or this is wishful thinking and I just REALLY want Marvel rides at DHS.
Probably the latter.
It'd have to be without Hulk and Cap, since they use Cap in Meet and Greets at Universal. I doubt they'd do anything major with Thor, since his stuff is cosmic, and they already have Star Wars.
