The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

The "scenes" are equivalent to Mummy at Uni. It starts as a dark ride and then the coaster part. There are suppose to be 2 scenes in the dwarf coaster.

But do those scenes warrant the "best" audio animatronics? Probably not. If so, what could you possibly have them do while mining gems? lol A Paula Abdul tap dance routine? Riverdance? (no...they are German) Cirque du Soliel? As long as they are three dimensional (unlike most figures in Pooh) I think that would be fine. It honestly would not surprise me if the figures are from the old Snow White ride...and...why not?

How did I make a joke about them? Now you say I didn't directly say they were evil but earlier you did say that I said obese people were evil. The people I spoke of were not judged unfairly. They admitted to taking advantage of the system due to their weight. THEY ADMITTED TO IT!

I think you have some deeper issues or something because you are making accusations that simply are not true. Unless you are one of those people who try to take advantage and do not like it because you are being called out? Projecting "evil" feelings to you? You seem pretty bothered not by my opinions but by my FACTS that I experienced. Because you did not like the FACTS that I stated does not mean they did not happen nor are they valid. They did happen. The guests admitted to bucking the system. The company does have to spend extra money because of them.

One last thing...how dare you compare the lazy people who take advantage of the company to people with CP or MS! You should be ashamed of yourself. Moving on...
Do you remember any part of the original post that I quoted that separated the "morbidly obese" from the people, thin or fat, that take advantage of a system. No it was just a joke made at the expense of overweight people whether they do anything wrong or not. You didn't see any joke about thin people did you. But they cause Guest relations as many problems of one sort or the other as overweight folks. Your facts, are probably quite true, but they have absolutely no bearing on whether or not a group of people should be ridiculed due to the actions of a few. Or, as that goes, why it is anyone's business. If a few are causing problems at City Hall, then they should be dealt with individually, but, we all know that no one has the courage to say that they are out of line. Let's instead just generally laugh at people, that we don't know.

How dare you compare every overweight person to the few lazy people that you have had the pleasure of dealing with. One is no more right then the other. Also moving on... but I doubt you'll let me.

I'm sure that's just their excuse to not want to spend money. As a business, wouldn't it be smart to make the guests spend more time there to experience all the attractions? By building new attractions, there is more to see and do and therefore, longer vacation time at Disney. Common sense, really.

Yeah ok...

I would agree with @Goofyernmost on the notion that obesity can be more than an addiction. It can be genetically based as I was saying before. Prader-Willi syndrome is an example of this, where seven genes on chromosome 15q are deleted, causing conditions such as uncontrollable hunger and life-threatening morbid obesity.

I don't think anybody chooses to be diagnosed with this type of illness, and no self-conscious eating "addiction" is at fault here.

I try to get excited for this ride but I feel like it's just going to be a disappointment. Again I hope I'm wrong, but two years waiting for a 2 minute family coaster? Granted the theme around the area is spectacular and that is something I can get excited to see...but the actual substance of the ride itself is to be determined. I'm going in with low expectations because I'd rather be impressed or neutral after riding, then feel let down.

You just named a genetic syndrome that affects 1 in 15,000 people. Ok, so you can excuse 3 of the obese people you see at MK.

Prader-Willi is rare and not most people's problem, at the end of the day if the amount going in is greater than the amount going out you will gain weight.

Unless there were major changes in the last year or so, the figures are not going to impress me.

That's the piece of information that has really been missing from the 7DMT discussion -- what are the show scenes going to be like? Can you give any greater details about what you have heard regarding the AAs on the ride? Anything about the scene in the cottage?

You're missing the point. The point is that you don't know who has it and who doesn't. So why judge? If you meet someone who is obese and acts as if things are entitled to them...treat that on a case by case basis. Don't generalize.

Also edit: If Prader-Willi Syndrome is not enough for you..maybe this article and comments will attest more to what I'm trying to convey. http://healthland.time.com/2013/07/19/news-genes-idd-in-obesity-how-much-of-weight-is-genetic/

You're right..I got sucked into the insanity

What are you implying? Are you saying I'm insane for discussing this? Look I'm under the assumption pretty much anything that is handled semi-maturely is allowed on this thread. And especially since the OP brought up the obesity topic, I'd assume it's fair game.

Also just because someone disagrees with your view doesn't mean they don't respect it. Having a debate with facts is not insane, though around these parts it's pretty rare;)

Anyway...in everyone's best interest...back on topic...whatever that "topic" may be..:)

unfortunately, most of the current obesity problems are not genetic.
but of people who only eat junk food 24/7 (I know a family who never drank water.. only coke 24/7, double or triple trips to KFC or MCdonalds every week..etc..etc..)

but booooy.. the first ones who come with the "its genetic I swear" are the ones who do not have the genetic problems imho.
These people with the REAL genetic issues...are usually the first to try their best to lose weight, even with surgeries.
the others will say "its genetic" as they devour a supersized meal supposedly for 4 ppl.. in a single sitting and try to leech all benefits and be rude to everyone while riding on a scooter.

Are we really going down this road? A debate on obesity. Please, let's not. Nothing good will come of it.

cant be worse than politics and religion..right.. RIIHGHT? D:

and now in something completely different.
DC is complaining how they cant make a movie about Wonder Woman.. because "its too complex".. and Marvel is all "Have a giant tree with a foul mouthed gun smoking raccoon in space firing in a way that would make Rambo proud!"

Guess who I am throwing my money at?

Well, on that basis no use in ever making any more movies or television shows either, because between all the movie studios and hundreds of cable channels, there is no way anybody can possibly see everything in their lifetime. No need for new music or books either.

Couldn't be, could it, that maybe not everyone is interested in every attraction, or in experiences they've seen 551 times over 20 or 30 years.

Gee, they may be onto a revolutionary idea here - maybe on the scale of MM+ - and about as successful, too... :banghead:
