I would petition for a budget for new attractions in Future World Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios. I would add more entertainment in all areas. Like PUSH, which are intimate and interactive. Less Princess meet and greets. Characters that are able to roam and pop up. More training and accountability for CMs. The price point all around stinks. Rooms, food, merchandise. Last time we went we bought no merchandise. Capacity rates should be lowered. We went during spring break and I felt like I was being herded everywhere.

okay your hired :) I wish! def agree. I would add in bring a parade back to DHS, a new MK light parade, cut move it shake it, (sorry it needs to go), and of course work on a new world showcase pavilion and or attraction in existing one, and no frozen overlay!! Just dreaming of course.

Why do you keep spewing nonsense like this? It adds nothing of substance to the conversation, it's obviously just a comment to get a rise out of people, and it makes you look like either a antagonistic asshat or a clueless simpleton. I'm leaning towards the former. But why you would want to be perceived as either is beyond me. And to be quite honest, why you haven't been banned is a mystery to me. Trolling is against the forum rules and I have never seen a post from you that wasn't obvious trolling.

I wouldn't call this trolling. There are a lot of people on here that are very opinionated. I'm not defending the accuracy of the statement, but the ability for the poster to state his or her opinions. If something is so offensive and consistently offensive, then just put it on ignore.

If it is indeed nonsense, then justify your viewpoint.

Look I don't agree with a lot of the things said in the post you were replying to. I don't see Disney's genius with 7DMT. I see a company that at one point took 2 years to build a theme park, now take 2 years to build a 2-min family coaster. The new commercials for FL don't entice me to go to Disney, where I will be nickel and dimed everywhere I go, be on house arrest with a wristband, all while there isn't a lot different than when I went last year. Lastly, I don't see how Potter 2.0 won't be a success. And looking 5-10 years down the line, with an E-ticket on track to arrive pretty much every year at Uni, it's going to be something to see. WDW will not be the theme park capital anymore...Orlando will be the event, with Disney, Uni, possibly Sea World being the family vacation. MM+ is going to come back to bite Disney where the sun doesn't shine. $2 billion. I don't know how anyone can argue for that price tag.

But Mr. Thick's opinions are more than welcome to me. I enjoy listening and responding to all viewpoints, whether or not I agree with them.

Well, never mind, this said it better than I would. Jimmy is not trolling, he is expressing his opinion and viewpoint. It happens to run directly against a viewpoint that tends to populate this thread, but it's not out of the ordinary for a WDW focused forum in any way. There are trolls on these forums, but I'd never put Jimmy even close to that territory.

I will say he has a point with myself and some friends. The only reason we are going to Disney this year is due to Diagon Alley. But of course we are staying 7 days on Disney property and have a 5 day hopper. We plan on spending 2 days at Uni.

I'm sure we are not the only ones (btw our trips were planned separately and we just notified each other)

On my FIRST day

10 - Start work on new on site perk with front line CM's taking the lead since they understand Guests BEST
11 - Require all executives to stay 1 week per year at WDW as a Guest.
12 - Require all executives to be in park 1 week per month as a front line CM

Makes for a long day - but doable.

These are pretty good things to implement.

You should require the executives to make their own reservations including stay, dining and fast pass, so they can experience first hand the pain that an average guest experiences. Also, they have to play the part of a regular guest, no special treatment.

Asking executives for 1 week front line CM per month is probably too much, you should probably shoot for 2 weeks per year as a front line CM.

I've found that reducing HFCS has helped me keep extra pounds off, I was puzzled for years because always soft around middle and I kept reducing food intake but the belly would shrink VERY slowly,

Turns out it was the so called 'fruit juices' which I used to enjoy in the summer instead of soda. Now I read very carefully before purchasing. Now fruit juices are VERY carefully vetted before consumption and drink a lot more water.

Even Heinz Ketchup uses HFCS - However you can buy the Heinz Organic Ketchup which is the ORIGINAL recipe and it uses sugar instead of HFCS, Every little bit counts.
I remember reading that as well.
almost all of the so called "fruit juices", actually have chemicals and sugar in quantities similar or even superior to SODAS.

*edit* edited my post. Do not want to incite a fight.

Thanks for the info. We have been trying to switch to organic and natural due to a gastro condition my wife has. Yet another benefit.

I feel like Jimmy Thick is sitting behind his computer thinking of things to say to rile people up. .

Since Jimmy Thick "liked" this post I guess he is here only to rile people up. EIther you care or you don't. I'm not a fan of Jimmy overall because of his delivery but not his content. Some of his content makes sense when you look at the company as a money making machine and strip out the Disney nostalgia and principles that the company was built. The thing of it is, is that those do not exist anymore. I know it hurts the feelings of the ultra Disney fans here but some of what he says makes a little sense. Some things I do not agree with so I just scroll down. Does not bother me.

IF HE BOTHERS YOU? Simply ignore him or scroll past his posts. lol

I'm sorry.. but your post is a great example of people getting offended by the words and not being able to get past that to read the message. You're hung up on the idea that how dare people call some people out over their weight that you can't get past that.
You're correct! Because I don't understand why anyone has a right to belittle people that they have no connection with and that probably don't even enter into their lives. I'm able to joke about a lot of "specific" things, weight included, but, I don't think it is commendable to pick a group and make them targets of ridicule. Didn't that once happen with African Americans, Asians and a host of others? Is it because obese people don't have a strong enough organization that they are now fair game? It's wrong and everybody knows it, yet, there has been a rush to justify in this thread alone. It cannot be justified. And yes, how dare we collectively call people out because of their weight. Give me one good reason why that is acceptable.

I care! Why is someone struggling with hypothyroid and not seeing anyone about it?

They need to see an endocrinologist. They'll inevitably get levothyroxine and correct the symptoms (including water retention, edema and decreased basal metabolism that is contributing to the 'weight' gain). A lot of the excess weight (which is water) will come off once you correct their free thyroxine levels.

There is no reason someone should be struggling with this their whole life.
OMG, now it's their fault because they weren't able to get the care that they needed due to cost, availability or maybe even incompetent Doctors that didn't diagnose the problem. This had turned into a "grasping at straws" discussion in a futile effort to justify making hurtful comments about fellow human beings.

I'm not going to further drive this into a debate on fat... but fat is not a protected class for a reason. And please don't draw comparisons to things like race.

Well, in many ways it is the same thing. One instantly feels that a group of people are inferior and subject to ridicule and exclusion because of the color of their skin or the size of their bodies. Tell me the difference. I don't see it. It doesn't even matter how long that particular prejudice has been in play. It's all the same thing at this point. Please, please don't tell me that a person cannot control the color of their skin but one can indeed control the size of their bodies. It is a weak statement to begin with an can only come from a deep misunderstanding of what makes a person what they are. How many people still believe that people that are gay, can just fix that by not being gay anymore? There is way more to overeating then just simply, they put to much food in their mouths. The later is true, but the reason is far more complex then so many people care to acknowledge or even try to understand. So, we don't understand it and as far as we are concerned it's a simple matter of hand to food, food to mouth. It's a weakness and should be ridiculed. No, sorry...It's wrong and everybody knows it. However, for some reason that doesn't stop it. Must be some kind of internal program that makes us do that put down. Should be easy enough to stop shouldn't it?

Wasn't that long ago that being black in this country was not a "protected class". Did that make it alright back then? I think you know the answer!

Neglecting everything else you said, though I happen to disagree with a lot of it, but I don't think a Disney News & Rumors forum is the right place to debate it. I have to take issue with this. Obese is not a race. Comparing the two belittles what the black population has gone through. It's offensive.
