You aren't supposed to hate Gran Fiesta Tour. It was unnecessary to add toons but it's not the end of the world. No reason to skip it.

Imagination...I do hate what they did to that ride. I really think if you experienced the original it's hard to not feel that way. Just my opinion.

The idea of repurposing Maelstrom for Frozen is by its nature "cheap". It will save them a ton of money over building a brand new Frozen ride. That's a fact. Will the ride look cheap or disappoint? That's to be seen. I think there's a good shot at having some decent AAs and the scenery could be well done. It will still be a short ride, but so is Mine Train and I wouldn't say it looks "cheap" at all.

Yeah, I really do wish I had experienced imagination 1.0. It makes me wonder (well obviously not just me) but why with all the attractions that they have let sit idle at EPCOT that imagination is now on version 3.

And I forgot to mention earlier, but I will dearly miss Maelstrom. I know it's simple, and short, but it is one of my favorites.

TDR is an amazing place and I wish I could take all my fanboi minions there on my Spirited private 747 (yes, I do have a jungle room on the upper deck, thanks for asking!) to Japan to experience it.

That said, I think some (many?) WDW regulars wouldn't like it. They'd have an issue with the strange (to them) culture. They wouldn't want to respect that in Japan rules are made (and expected or demanded) to be followed. They wouldn't like that the OLC doesn't cater to nutjob guests/Lifestylers like WDW and DL do etc.

But I know visiting TDR is good for this Spirit. Even if he gets asked to move back literally three inches over seated guests for the Christmas Parade by a 90-pound, tiny Japanese girl. Yep, didn't even ding my pride.
If I'm ever able to visit a foreign Disney resort I would love to go to Tokyo one day. Everything I've seen about it looks incredible, especially DisneySea. Do you have any tips on a good time of year to go? I've heard it could get VERY crowded there.

Yes ... and speaking of The Weatherman (i know we weren't!), but does anyone here not think he phoned up Kitsis and Horowitz and said ''You guys ARE putting Frozen into your show, right?!''
Definitely. Im looking forward to seeing that scene. Im hoping they just havent "overlayed" Elsa's dress on an already existing and well liked character.

I went in late November, first few days of December and basically did Monday at TDL, Tuesday at TDS, Wednesday at TDL and Thursday at TDS ... went back one night the next week (think it was Tuesday) to take the monorail, explore Ikspiari (the TDR version of DD, but much more mall-like) and have dinner at the DLH. The only day that was crazy busy was Monday. Crowds went down every day of the week. On Thursday, basically everything at TDS was under 20 minutes with most things being walk-ons except for ToT, which we FP'd ... I would NEVER visit over a weekend or on a holiday under any circumstances. Also, don't parkhop. It isn't needed. It isn't very convenient. You can't do it on the first two days of any multi-day ticket unless staying at one of their resorts anyway.

The time of year we visited was wonderful. All the Christmas entertainment and decor was out ... weather was also quite nice (60s and sunny, cooler at night). Any other questions, ask away ...

Don't tell @Lee (who owes me a phone call!), but you are becoming my second favorite poster here!
Your gonna love me when I sneak into the next #DSMM event disguised as woman who needs to be empowered. I cant wait for all that free food! Meeting Gary might be cool as well. @PhotoDave219 speaks highly of him. Oh ya, Im not a fan of S.H.I.E.L.D either, maybe that will boost me above @Lee. haha

I feel the same way. I WON'T believe it's doomed until I see an official announcement... :(

Papa Scout will be at TDL Saturday and TDS soon enough after. Highly envious

I desperately hope the day of an official announcement for this atrocity never comes. That ride is part of my childhood. I can't tell you how many times the line "disappear, disappear!!!" was repeated in those early days by me and my family :(

I am feeling more confident that it will open relatively close to the rest of the land or with it at once after talking to a friend a little bit ago.

But that chatter persists ... lots of happy folks at Disney these days, methinks.

relatively close? as in months? or at least a year?
I'm unsure of what is "relatively close" to you and disney.

I doubt that business is making him rich. But growing up as an affluent Miami kid ... well, I am reasonably certain that money has never been an issue for him at all. As a Faux Top One Percenter, I'd love to know what that feels like!;)

Interesting thing to ponder here as well: For a guy that is basically trained as a graphic artist, I've found that his business website is odd in that it's incredibly generic, poorly put together, and loaded with stock art. Based on being in commerce and on both the B2B and B2C side, I've always guessed that he's purely the middleman here and he isn't actually producing the products. I'd bet rather heavily that other financial resources keep up his lifestyle. ;)

The Haunted Mansion does not have a line because it is unpopular. It does not have a line because it was designed to accommodate it's own popularity. Same with it's a small world. While the presence of a line can be indicative of popularity, the absence of one does not always reflect a lack-thereof. Some attractions just have brilliantly designed ride systems that account for high guest output ability

If you went on Monday and used an E-Ticket to ride Splash Mountain, and then on Tuesday used one to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, wouldn't you feel gypped? The attraction is simply not of E-Ticket caliber, and was designed with that intention very much in mind. They did not set out to build an attraction of the most exciting level, and they didn't. Just because people are excited and there are long lines does not mean it's among their 'best in show'. Dumbo and Peter Pan were known in their histories to have lines just as long.

My point was not that 7DMT is an E-Ticket or HM/IaSM isn't, I personally would not classify 7DMT as such only that some of the attractions that were classified as E-Tickets would be considered C-D by many today. The original ticket classification had as much to do with attraction capacity/popularity as depth of quality.

I'm betting they don't want to impact MNSSHP. That being said, I think they should extend it too!

I groaned when I saw another "special event" that requires a separate ticket, but on the other hand, MNSSHP has gotten crowded in the past couple of years. Extending it into that season would probably alleviate some of the crowding, so overall I guess I'm on board.
