Disney, this is the kind of treatment "Frozen" should get. Images: @WDWFigment

You should see Stacey in the Seventh Street Theater TV series; I have the utmost respect for her. I know the 'perkiness' of the Walt Disney World promos gets old for some, but she does a good job.

Exactly, I have zero issues with her. She does a great job at exactly what Disney hired her to do. It might get on some peoples nerves but you really can't please everyone...especially Disney fans. My kids absolutely loved watching her in the room on both of our visits with them to WDW.

Visually beautiful but the 2 rides featured in the bottom pic are basically Flik's Flyers and Francis' Lady Bug Boogie from DCA, correct? Still, leaps and bounds a better themed area than Bug's Land.

There's another ride in the back of that pic too, a copy of Jumpin' Jellyfish, from DCA's Paradise Pier. Also a Mermaid stage show, and a gift shop inside a giant whale. Plus a fourth spinner, Scuttle's Scooters that is outside the building along the canal, as seen in the photo shown above. And a version of Gadget's Go Coaster themed to Mermaid, cloned from Toontown.

Tokyo Disney Resort doesn't have the Omnimover Mermaid ride that DCA and MK have. Instead it has this indoor/outdoor land with five small carnival rides collected from various American parks. Themed to "Under The Sea".

Instead of promoting this news heavily during a prime time Frozen special, they wait a few days later and put it out with the Friday trash in a press release.

Actually, it was quite smart. It avoids it becoming another BOG - nationally advertising something with relatively limited capacity - particularly since they haven't even started constructing it yet.

They either are incompetent or knew this was not going to be popular. Or both.

Folks really need to stop fooling themselves here. This is going to be monumentally popular with most guests. Maelstrom had lines when it did because it was one of two rides in that entire hemisphere of the park.

I agree with a lot of the criticism, in that yes, I'd rather they build a new ride, the whole thing is indicative of the overall issues with WDW, but I think folks are way off base thinking that the average guest isn't going to be thrilled by an attraction in World Showcase that their entire family is going to want to see. I also think folks are way over romanticizing the "Norway-ness" of the ride as it exists now - if you blindfolded someone, took them to the loading dock, took off the blindfold, and let them ride the ride - and then ask them what it was about, I doubt many folks would even associate it with Norway.

There's a lot in that pavilion. If you ever get a chance head to TDL and TDS. You'd like it.
Mermaid Lagoon has a Little Mermaid show that is heads and shoulders above BatB or DHS Mermaid.
