The Spirited Seventh Heaven ...

I had a lot of confidence that this rumor was not true based on that and also the original source. But, I'm not sure what to think anymore. I know nothing is confirmed yet and it's still basically just a rumor, but it's not going away either.
Edit: ^another reliable source saying they are also hearing this rumor. Not a good sign:(
I think it's best to just let the situation play out and not worry about reliable sources hearing/or not hearing rumors.

We tend to overreact on this site a lot to sources and unconfirmed rumors. Like I had said earlier, it's not good if the ride is cut. But I'm not going to get worked up about it until Disney has the guts to announce to the public they are opening up a land that's been cut down from the announced two rides to one ride.

Then I'm just going to laugh...

Where I find guests at DL tend to
- jump lines more frequently
- don't respect queue chains
- camp out hogging space more frequently
- leave trash just the same as WDW tourists

It's my opinion, lol. You don't have to always jump in and try to 'correct' me. It's not a personal attack on WDW. For every rude CM or rude Guest, there's an awesome CM or a nice, happy guest. I pointed out that I've seen an improvement at WDW. You seem to really want to defend it, which is fine but everybody's visit is going to give a different experience. I frequent them enough where I feel I have a good enough grasp.

I see that happen at WDW too. So?

I also know when to visit. Camping out is no different than people rushing to book Anna and Elsa FPs or waiting at 5:30 in a line for Star Wars Weekend.

It's not really meant to be a debate about which guests are different. Just my opinion on what *I* see.

I hear ya. My reaction was purely based on my feelings if the rumor is true. I'm not happy to hear the rumor sticking around, but so far all reliable sources are saying "maybe" and "unconfirmed" so that's a positive. As opposed to Frozen Maelstrom which sounds like a done deal. This project was on life support before and revived so there's still hope that even if the rumor is true they could add it back in again, but now that ground is broken the timeline to change their mind is much shorter.

All you can really do is laugh:) My life will go on either way.

That is a straight up, distant possibility.

Yes he would and the fallout from it would be disastrous on a PR front

Well, it's not like they're going to get on the phone and be all "Hey, Jim? It's Jay and Bob... Listen, this thing they're building is getting way too expensive so we're going to have to cut a few things. You understand, right? Don't worry... it's still at Disney!"

I'm sure there are any number of construction, logistical, or operational issues they could blame for needing to shift some aspects of the project to "Phase II"... It's just that Phase II could very well never happen.

I wasn't defending anything - just giving my perspective in addition to the one you shared. Same as you did...

If someone wants to wait in a M&G line for 3hrs.. it doesn't impact me. Special events don't impact me if I'm not at said event... nor is it representative of a random day at the park. When people lay their crap out in the hub, and along the RoA like it's some refugee camp.. it does impact me and others in the park. When people camp out on benches for hours - they take the benches away from people like myself who are seeking a place to sit down because I physically need to rest my back.

So I really don't find your analogy fitting at all.

I put my experiences out there as well... as much as some would paint DLR to be utopia - it has its own quirks and guests there are not all plucked out of Leave it to Beaver. I also didn't mention how badly people abused the GAC there to.. which does impact others. But sometimes people see DLR as a fresh of breath air, others see it on a pedestal, I just see it as DLR.

While I did not notice that much line jumping (but then, I am used to Paris and am a European myself, so maybe more tolerant about this), the one thing I noticed though as a difference: That the trash the guests left at DL was picked up much more frequently than at WDW. Saw custodial CMs walking through lines frequently and noticed managers (wearing suits - had to think of @TP200 every time ;)) picking up trash a few times.

There certainly is a different dynamic in DL than in WDW amongst guest and CM. Which one one prefers comes down to personal choice. While I think a Bloody Mary is an awful cocktail, but will happily drink a Martini, I know someone who thinks it is just the opposite way around. I still think that my taste in cocktails is superior to his!!:D

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Saw Maleficent today and the mine train commerical was playing both before the movie and in the lobby/common area screens. I don't remember seeing that kind of marketing when NFL first opened.
I am in Canada, and also saw the Mine Train ads before Maleficent. No screens in the lobby, though.

I quite liked Maleficent and thought AJ knocked it out of the park.

Speaking of rumours and inside sources- which animated movie will Disney be bringing to Broadway after Frozen?

Which major company has Disney consulted to try and fix MM+?

Is there a chance Cameron would ever walk due to their shadiness?

Part of me wonders if Disney is wanting this to happen. Avatar - The Land hasn't been well received by many Disney fan. There seems to be a few people who are really excited, many who range between cautiously optimistic to apathetic, and many who are downright hostile to the idea. I wonder if they want Cameron to walk to save face because I don't think they will ever admit it was just a bad idea.

(BTW, no insider knowledge at all. It's just pure speculation on my part).

Could it be that the boat ride would just be pushed back instead of cancelled and do a NFL opening type of deal to make the "books" look better?

Open the soarin ride and a restaurant and gift shop first, and then in the next year or 2 slowly build the boat ride? I could see this as a possibility.
