It looks like it will be a cramped, overcrowded nightmare. It looks pretty, but really isn't designed well for crowd flow as a theme park land. One attraction and a bunch of poorly designed stores. Diagon Alley will be one great big mess for quite some time.
Yup, because crowds indicate a failure. Hogsmeade is crowded and i loved it. If anything it will force you to come back to looks for more details you missed...

Why am i explaining this? I'm wasting all my Internets on you... the troll has done his job..

Are you really 100% serious? Like are you diagnosed with something?

I watched the Hogwarts Express POV video that everyone's favorite princess-stalker posted online yesterday and man, it looks amazing. I got goosebumps after I saw King's Cross. I haven't been to a UNI park since I was about 9 but now I have a reason to go again. Looking forward to when WDW tries to wow us like this again.

Slightly off topic, what's the deal with the "princess stalker" bit. I've heard some references but missed the back story.

Thanks!

I respectfully disagree. Comparison is useful. Universal has regularly been kicking Disney's butt for a while, yes, and will continue to for a while to come. The comparison was made, and I responded. On one hand, if Disney had wanted to, they could have put more money and time into the parade dragon and made it much better. On the other hand, it's apples and oranges due to a number of factors. I was pointing out the main reason for the differences, though.

I would also say "since EPCOT Center" is reaching a bit. Diagon is a wonderfully themed land with 2 headline attractions, combined with heavily themed retail, entertainment and F&B, making all of them "attractions" as well. But it's not the same as an entire park. And don't forget about attractions like Indy or DAK's Africa section, both of which I would argue were groundbreaking at their time as well.
I would also say Asia is an amazing land as well with the view of Everest

I'm sure that they planned the problem with the tree. Do you have any proof that the wing won't fall off the thing 20 years from now. Using a freak incident to put down a company is just searching for something to be critical about. We all know just how good 20/20 hindsight can be. It's hard to be wrong. Where were you when the built it warning them of the possible chance that something might fail?

The problem with your argument is that while the tree I'm sure wasn't scheduled to fall apart, they did nothing to fix the issue except put up ugly netting, defeating the purpose of the entire area where you should be able to walk around and freely view the tree from many angles. The netting ruins the atmosphere.

If this dragons head fell off I'm sure they would fix it immediately as it's the focal point of the alley. I wish disney cared enough to fix the focal point of DAK.

Edit for terrible spelling. Apparently lithiumbill isn't the only one who needs more coffee!

Let's all hold our breaths and hope that with all the work going on at DAK in the next few years, this gets addressed.
On second thought, holding our breaths is probably not a good idea. We'll all be dropping like flies.
Cross our fingers? That would have the added bonus of making it harder to type, thus cutting down on the speed that this forum moves at.

Yeah, and let's see Universal try to top this:

Pretty sure they already did... 24 years ago :p yep, this pinnacle of E-ticket gorgeousness just couldn't hack it, I guess.

Let's compare Festival of Fantasy to any parade in Universal past or present.

Let's compare Toyota's cars to GE's cars.. oh wait.. GE doesn't make cars. UNI doesn't have any aspirations to make parades like FoF, so no shocker they haven't built one.

But a rather poor attempt at diversion. Your 'criticism' of the stores shows either
1) a complete ignorance of purpose
or
2) a preference for efficiency over show
or
3) loyality dictating you must put down the competition

But enough of this tangent.. shame on me for biting on the obvious stuff.

People simply feeling the need to pile on someone who has something they don't. Jealously, competition, who knows.. it's the Disney social-sphere high school edition.

People think Ricky looks creepy in some of his photos, and his interactions so when he covers the M&Gs.. they've joked/labeled that he's stalking them, etc. Fueled by a joke about where your hands are when they aren't seen in a photo in a M&G, etc.

Nothing to see.. just hatred in the Disney distorted fan universe.

I did it too... Im ashamed at myself.

On a side note as a 34 year old man myself, I have zero desire to see any parade. If universal dumped 250 million into the greatest parade ever made, I would be happy with seeing pictures of it online.. Having said that, they will not do that, obviously because they're doing their own thing, and doing it well.

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up.

Based on some of the remarks I've seen around here, I thought something had happened.
