The Sorcerer's Warmups

When the snap in the Sorcerer's Apprentice Universe occurred shockwaves rippled throughout the timeline, and unearthed a total of nine forgotten and unused prompts from seasons past. In the lead up to the kick off of the Sorcerer's Apprentice @tcool123 and I will be posting these recovered prompts every day, once a day, to everyone that's excited to get there creative juices flowing a way to warmup. Even if you're not participating in the Sorcerer's Apprentice feel free to pitch your own ideas for the prompts. Now without further ado get ready for the secondwarmup prompt :D

Stepping into a bit more of a niche land. One people might be less familiar with. Hong Kong Disneyland's Phase 2 expansion was made up of three mini-lands. Mystic Point which was centered around one E-Ticket attraction (the beloved Mystic Point). Toy Story Playland which was a collection of flat rides. And Grizzly Gulch, another land centered around a single E-Ticket and a play area.

This land serves as a mix of Grizzly Peak in DCA and Frontierland. A mining town full of bears centered around a large bear shaped mountain! As part of Hong Kong Disneyland's Phase 3 expansion, lets try to round this mini-land out into more of a fully fledged land. Here is an interactive map if you'd like to take a look at it.

The goal is to add 1 new attraction.
There already is an E-Ticket. So, let's try to go for more of a C/D-Ticket to balance it out!

Imagineers during this practice prompt you may use one to two sentences, and one image. Good luck and remember KISS: Keep it simple, silly :D

The Sorcerer's Warmups Results: Tomorrow and Fugue
Similar to the One Sentence Competition there will be awards, but unlike it there will be no points (unless y'all really want them) in place for the warmups.

Now onto the results:

Honorable Mention
@Suchomimus for Exploration of the Crystal Planet
Honorable mention is a place for striking pitches that don’t quite make the main prompt, and this attraction was amazing however out of fairness for the other proposals is held back due to runoffs.

Third Place
@MickeyWaffleCo. for Our Journey to the Stars
While simple your proposal's concept shone through like a star ;) I'm a sucker for space, and I feel as if this attraction will encapsulate the idea of space and humanity's future with it perfectly.

Second Place
@DashHaber for Tron: Argon City Autopia
This proposal is great as I honestly didn't expect a retheme of the Speedway, but when you did you made it your own. The upgrading of this classic experience at Magic Kingdom while tying it into Tron was a great route.

First Place
@Sharon&Susan for Mars Landing
Your proposal took me out of this world to the classic Disney take on the future all the way to the end with the rather humorous punchline of the Martians leaving. Congratulations :D

Not to be nitpicky but this is the second warmup prompt not the first ;)

Thank you very much, @tcool123 for honoring me with the first, first place designation of the season!

BIG BEAR CREEK
A boat ride located on the outskirts of Grizzly Gulch that takes guests through the natural forest environment of the many majestic bears of all shapes and sizes that live there. Watch out for a gang of dangerous, criminal fur trappers that may require escaping down a waterfall and take us to a cave with a motherload of bears!

Grizzly Gulch Stampede

(I couldn't find an image that perfectly describes my answer, but this photo of Woody's Roundup from Shanghai Disneyland would do.)

For those hankerin' for a good ol' spinning time, the Grizzly Gulch Stampede is now open for your business! Updating the current Geyser Gulch water play area, this ride will have you howling for more as you whip and whirl around the corral n your own horse buggy while expecting a splashing surprise from the resident geyser.

Hoot 'n' Holler Country Bear Roundup

The Country Bears have arrived in Grizzly Gulch for a live performance - problem is, they've all run off to explore the area and the show starts in ten minutes, so Henry needs your help to find them all before showtime. This fun for the whole family dark ride sends guests all over Grizzly Gulch and the surrounding forest, where the iconic Country Bears have all gotten into the most amusing of situations, culminating in Big Al upsetting a hive full of bees who promptly chase us back to the Grizzly Gulch Opry House just in time for a musical finale!

Sheriff Maggie Sycamore has been hearing some rumors of criminal trappers hiding out in Grizzly Forest, so she could use a posse to help expose their deeds. Hop aboard a wagon in this dark ride adventure, using your lantern to cast a light on these outlaws and save the bears!

Grizzly Gulch Geyser Walk
On this serene, winding trail through the woods of Grizzly Gulch, guests can experience the natural wonders of the area, with picturesque sights of the surrounding landscapes and a perfectly framed view of Big Grizzly Mountain. Guests with a keen eye may see relics of Grizzly Gulch’s history, such as Lucky the Golden Retriever peeking out from behind a tree, as long as they don’t get caught in the spray of the geysers just off of the trail!

So it's a National Park? 😂 😂
